This year’s WBTA Charity 2017• The Arabber Preservation Society •The Arabber Preservation Society was formed in 1994 to protect the fast disappearing tradition of food

delivery throughout stricken neighborhoods in Baltimore City by way of horse and cart vending. Baltimore is the last city in the country with this old-fashioned tradition which provides door to door food delivery

service in a massive food desert, where grocery stores and farmers markets do not exist. It is essential nutrition brought right to the residents of the city.

This year we have the opportunity to turn the city stables into a fully operational Horse Discovery Center alongside the Arabber vending service, and will be able to provide an educational resource for children and residents in the city, teaching animal

husbandry, Arabbing, and other real job-training tools.

Artists have been brought in locally to contribute to painting the space honoring past Arabbers in Maryland, and to bring a uniques esthetic to the yard.

We are looking for items which will help overhaul the stables, and provide a safe space in the city for children to learn and gain exposure to animals. Items include:

Buckets • Double end snaps • Push Brooms • Shavings Pitchforks • Hose

Gift Cards Home Depot • Wheelbarrow (2) • Trash Bags, heavy duty • Box fans

Bookshelf • Storage bins with tops • Halters • Round pens • Stall mats

Donations items can be dropped off at the show office during the show or mailed to: 8220 Bellona Ave, Towson, MD 21204

The APS is a fully operational 501(c)3 organization, all donations are tax deductible, the EIN number is 52-1910968.
