Principals Message It was wonderful to come back to school and see everyone after our school holiday break. It has already been a busy start to the term and it will continue to be very busy all term. Congratulations Congratulations to Reihana H, Mekhi T & Tamale P on making it into the Razorback Rugby Union Team. Congratulations to Koby C for making it into the SSW Team for the State Rugby League. Congratulations to our State Swimmers on their fine performances at the State Swimming Carnival on the last two days of Term 1. I had the pleasure of attending the carnival on the Friday and got to see all 5 students swim. We are so very proud of them and their efforts. Well done!!!!! Congratulations to Baylee B and Tyler X for making the Razorback Soccer teams, also Payten F for making the Razorback Softball team. SDD On our first day back this term the staff undertook a Professional Learning session on “Additive Strategies” led by Mrs Eccles. The staff also got to experience some K-2 STEM activities from the student’s perspective, which was guided by Mrs James and Mr Duncan. Much fun was had by all.
Thank You to Silverdale IGA!
A big Thank You to Silverdale IGA for their very kind donation to the school of $1357.48. Very much appreciated by us all.
SAFETY CONCERNS IN OUR SCHOOL CAR PARKS
Please note that parents and students are not permitted to walk through the School carparks.
Staff might be using the carparks at any time and the safety of your children is paramount to us.
Crazy Sock Day Our amazing school and community raised $337.20 for Relay for Life. An outstanding effort by all. Thank you PVPAF Our senior choir had a wonderful day at their first choir rehearsal for this year’s PVPAF. Miss Foster said the students were amazing!!!!!!!!! Congratulations to you all. We look forward to seeing you perform later on in the year at the festival. Some of our dance groups are currently preparing for the auditions for the PVPAF. We wish them all the very best of luck for the audition process.
AGT Excursion On Tuesday the 14 May 2019 our Year 6 students had the opportunity to attend the live taping of the Australia’s Got Talent auditions in at Luna Park Sydney under the Big Top. It was an amazing day and the students had the best time. Mr Bruny, Miss Clarke and I had the pleasure of accompanying 28 students to this event. We got to see a range of talent and some outstanding performances. Many laughs were had and lots of great conversations occurred. It was a pleasure to take the students on the day and they did a wonderful job at representing our school.
Kindness I have to mention these two lovely young gentlemen from K/1K who came to the office on Wednesday to do their job of
emptying the class tub. While they were there Jake G asked Ms Fitzsummons if he could pop in to see me and say hello. The boys came down to my office just to visit and say a beautiful hello to me!!!!! It was such a beautiful thing for them to think of this. I told them how much I appreciated their visit and smiling faces. It made my day!!! I also had another visit on Thursday from these two happy visitors. It is always such a pleasure to see the students come to my office with great work or lovely messages. So proud of our students.

Kindergarten, Year 1 and Year 2 News!
Welcome back to Term 2. It’s hard to believe we even stopped for a 2-week break!
Just a few reminders….K-2 assembly for term 2 will be held every odd week – Weeks 3, 5, 7
& 9. Assemblies begin at 2pm in the school hall. The children love to perform to an audience
so we welcome Parent visitors!
When dropping your children at school or picking them up each day please do not walk
through the staff carparks. We have 2 staff carparks at our school, one is located opposite
the Fire Station and the other is opposite the swimming pools. These carparks are for staff
only and they are NOT safe for students or parents to be walking through. Teachers often
leave the school after 8:30am to attend professional learning at other schools. We would
hate for an accident to occur. Please help us and your children by using the smaller
playground gates to walk your children into the school. The staff carpark gates will be locked
each day at 8:30am to ensure student safety.
Congratulations to all Year 1 and Year 2 students!! On Wednesday 15 May, 112 students plus
lots of teachers and parents travelled to Botany Bay for a school excursion. Our day was
filled with sunshine, an amazing water view and lots of interesting learning about Australia in
the past and how it differs from today. The behaviour of all our students on Wednesday was
outstanding and we were all certainly proud of the Warragamba manners you upheld! A huge
thank you to our parent helpers, that not only drove to and from Botany Bay, but also
assisted us on the day. You helped make our day a huge success. Thanks!!
