An example of a successful and well established film from working film titles is Les Miserables, it was successful not only in the UK but also in the US this is due it having an American actors including Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe, Anne Hathaway and Amanda Seyfried. Consequently the movie appealed to transnational countries due to a basing it on a famous play presenting making further success on the stage and on DVD. Not only as a film or a play but seeing the actors singing shows there unseen talent also brought out a major successful iTunes album. The total sum of money the film made worldwide was $441,809,770 while the total budget of the film was: $61 million making an extreme amount of profit. The film became a trend to see attracting others who were not the target audience. Les Miserables won various awards.

Wimbledon

Wimbledon (2004) was less unsuccessful due to it being based towards a British audience meaning it wasn’t watched in America, the sport its self may not of been appealing to American audience let alone people outside the target audience. It made a total sum of $17,001,133 and was only shown in 2,039 theatres in the world making it an unseen film worldwide. Kirsten Dunst and Paul Bettany are not well known actors.

Warp film : Successful film

Four LionsFour Lions was one of the most successful low budget film they produced, only appealing to a certain target audience it still is doing well, however it is targeted at older teens and young adults, rated at 15+ . so the target audience is incredibly smaller than films such as Les Miserables. There are no famous actors within the film only soap stars. Aired at only 18 theatres it didn’t do well in the cinemas but became a hit once it became a trend to watch online or on DVD not making huge mass amount of money at $4,658,570.
