Warm up

• Make vocabulary word part cards out of the roots, prefixes, and suffixes on the board. Use the note cards you brought with your school supplies.

• MAKE SURE YOU CHOOSE A DIFFERENT COLOR NOTE CARD FOR EACH CATEGORY!

• On the front put the word part by itself. Use markers.• On the back write the definition of the word part and at

least 3 words that contain that word part.• With your table/partner brainstorm words that contain the

word part. Work together!• You will use the vocabulary card to help you study for

the word power test THIS Friday.
