game. • Fortitude, as defined in the Blood & Glory scenario in the main rulebook, will be used extensively throughout this

event. While Fortitude may not be used to determine the winner in each scenario, objective points will be available through Fortitude. This may or may not be Fortitude summoned during the course of the game.

• The Chaos Ascendant scenario special rules will not be in use. Chaos Wizards (Warriors of Chaos, Demons of Chaos, and Beastmen) will not automatically know 'Summon Infernal Legion' as it is a part of the Chaos Ascendant scenario special rules.

WARHAMMER FANTASY CHAMPIONSHIP

SCENARIO 1: BE MY VICTIM *** READ THE ENTIRE SCENARIO BEFORE SETTING UP ***

OVERVIEW You are not content with the stories, so I was obliged to come.

BATTLEFIELD All terrain is preset. All Forests are considered to be Mysterious Forests and follow all rules outlined in the main rulebook (pg. 119). Any water features are considered to be Mysterious Rivers (only the actual water on the feature). The remaining pieces of terrain are considered to be normal ones of its type. If your table has any different terrain pieces than those shown on the guide, please refer to your specific table instructions.

DEPLOYMENT As per the Dawn Attack Scenario (page 145).

After deployment, but before the roll for first turn, each player will place two of the provided candy objective markers, beginning with the player that deployed second. No objective marker may be placed inside any deployment zone and must be placed at least 6” from the 4’ table edge, and 18” from the 6’ table edge.

WHO GOES FIRST As per the Dawn Attack Scenario (page 145).

After deployment, the player that set up second rolls a dice. On a roll of 6 he can choose who has the first turn. On a roll of 1-5 the player that set up first chooses who has first turn.

GAME LENGTH The game will last six turns or time is called in the round. Do not begin another game turn when the 15 minute warning is called in the round. Finish the game turn you are in and do not start another one.

SPECIAL RULES Fortitude: As outlined on page 148 of the main rulebook. In addition, only Fortitude included in your original army list will be counted as Fortitude for purposes of claiming the objectives and Objective Points. Units/characters summoned do not generate Fortitude, even if they have a Standard or Battle Standard.

Candy Objectives: Beginning game turn 2, a unit of at least 5 models (or 3 for monstrous infantry & cavalry) that generates Fortitude may end its movement on the marker, and roll a D6. On the roll of a 1, 2, or 3, place the center of the 5” template on top of the candy marker. Each model touched takes a magical hit that wounds on a 5+ with no armor saves allowed. On the roll of a 4, 5, or 6, the controlling player gains an additional 50 Victory Points. After the roll is made, remove the marker from the table. The player that picked up the marker may eat it regardless of outcome.

VICTORY CONDITIONS Standard Victory Points per the main rulebook (pg. 143) will be used. If you score 100 or more Victory Points than your opponent, you are the victor. If the difference is 99 Victory Points or less, the game is considered a draw.

Battle Result Battle Points Victory 9 Draw 6 Loss 3

Conceding: If you concede the game, your opponent will receive the maximum allowed Objective Points and whatever Bonus Battle Points they earned during the game. You will receive the amount of Bonus Battle Points that you earned in the game, but will not receive any Objective Points.

BONUS BATTLE POINTS +2 points: If you picked up at least one marker after rolling a D6.

+1 point: If you picked up more markers than your opponent.

BONUS OBJECTIVE POINTS +1 point: For each terrain feature you control (closest unit that generates Fortitude within six inches, if tied then the unit with the most models controls it) after the first, up to a maximum of +3 points. Units may only control 1 terrain feature each.

SCENARIO 2: ALL THE TIME IN THE WORLD *** READ THE ENTIRE SCENARIO BEFORE SETTING UP ***

IN LOVING MEMORY OF JEFF BAXENDALE

BATTLEFIELD All terrain is preset. All Forests are considered to be Mysterious Forests and follow all rules outlined in the main rulebook (pg. 119). Any water features are considered to be Mysterious Rivers (only the actual water on the feature). The remaining pieces of terrain are considered to be normal ones of its type. If your table has any different terrain pieces than those shown on the guide, please refer to your specific table instructions.

DEPLOYMENT As per the Battleline Scenario (page 144).

Roll off to see which player picks the half of the table they will deploy in. The opponent will deploy in the other half.

Players then take it in turn to place units on the table, using the alternating units method of deployment described on page 142. Units may be placed anywhere in their deployment zone that is more than 12” from the center line.

WHO GOES FIRST As per the Battleline Scenario (page 144).

Roll off after deployment to see which player takes the first turn. The player that finished deploying his army first adds +1 to his roll.

GAME LENGTH The game will last six turns or time is called in the round. Do not begin another game turn when the 15 minute warning is called in the round. Finish the game turn you are in and do not start another one.

SPECIAL RULES Fortitude: As outlined on page 148 of the main rulebook. In addition, only Fortitude included in your original army list will be counted as Fortitude for purposes of scoring your secret objective and Objective Points. Units/characters summoned do not generate Fortitude, even if they have a Standard or Battle Standard.

Secret Objective: Each player will be provided with an envelope with their Secret Objective for the scenario. Do not open the envelope until after deployment but before rolling for the first turn. Do not let your opponent know what your objective is until after the game is over. Possible Secret Objective are:

1. Have the most Fortitude on the table at the end of the game. 2. Have more Fortitude in your opponent’s deployment zone than he

does at the end of the game. 3. Have more Fortitude in your deployment zone than your opponent

does at the end of the game. 4. Reduce your opponent to 3 Fortitude or less by the end of the game. 5. Your Fortitude must not be reduced to 3 or less before the end of

the game. 6. Have the least Fortitude on the table at the end of the game (there

has to be a suicide mission right?).

BONUS BATTLE POINTS +3 points: If you completed your Secret Objective.

BONUS OBJECTIVE POINTS +1 point: For each terrain feature you control (closest unit that generates Fortitude within six inches, if tied then the unit with the most models controls it) after the first, up to a maximum of +3 points. Units may only control 1 terrain feature each.

SCENARIO 3: DO YOU LIKE SCARY MOVIES? *** READ THE ENTIRE SCENARIO BEFORE SETTING UP ***

OVERVIEW There are certain RULES that one must abide by in order to successfully survive a horror movie.

DEPLOYMENT As per the Blood & Glory Scenario (page 148).

Additionally, each player will place their Objective Marker anywhere on their half of the table, but not in their Deployment Zone or within 6” of a table edge, after all units have finished deploying (including Scouts).

WHO GOES FIRST As per the Blood & Glory Scenario (page 148).

Roll off after deployment to see which player takes the first turn. The player that finished deploying his army first adds +1 to his roll.

GAME LENGTH The game will last six turns or time is called in the round, or if one or both players reach their Breaking Point. Do not begin another game turn when the 15 minute warning is called in the round. Finish the game turn you are in and do not start another one.

SPECIAL RULES Fortitude & Breaking Point: As outlined on page 148 of the main rulebook. In addition, only Fortitude included in your original army list will be counted as Fortitude for purposes of Objective Points and Breaking Point. Units/characters summoned do not generate Fortitude, even if they have a Standard or Battle Standard.

Protect the Victim: Your Objective Marker will prevent your army from reaching its Breaking Point if your Fortitude reduces to 2 or less as long as it is on the table. Any enemy unit that contains Fortitude can end its Movement phase in base contact with your Objective Marker to remove it from the table.

VICTORY CONDITIONS Standard Victory Points per the main rulebook (pg. 143) will be used if neither player reaches their Breaking Point.

BONUS BATTLE POINTS +2 points: If your Objective Marker is on the table at the end of the game.

+1 point: If you reduced your opponent’s Fortitude to 2 or less.

SCENARIO 4: DEATH HAS COME TO YOUR LITTLE TOWN, SHERIFF *** READ THE ENTIRE SCENARIO BEFORE SETTING UP ***

OVERVIEW It was the boogeyman...

Additionally, players will place the AdeptiCon Marker provided in the center of the board before deployment, but after rolling for sides. Each player will then place their Objective Marker 18” to the right of the AdeptiCon Marker along the centerline.

In addition, only Fortitude included in your original army list will be counted as Fortitude for purposes of claiming the objectives and Objective Points. Units/characters summoned do not generate Fortitude, even if they have a Standard or Battle Standard.

Finding the Killer: Beginning in the second game turn, a player may have a single unit that generates Fortitude end its Movement Phase in contact with a base to “interrogate” it and roll a D6. On a 5+, the unit has found the killer and every model in the unit takes a S3 hit with the Armor Piercing & Heroic Killing Blow special rules as the killer tries to escape. If the killer is not found on the first interrogation, then the next base interrogated will be the killer on a 4+. If the killer is not found after the second interrogation, then the third base will automatically be the killer. If the killer is not found after being interrogated, the unit that interrogated it takes D6 S3 hits with the Armor Piercing & Heroic Killing Blow special rules. After a base is interrogated, remove the base from the table.

BONUS BATTLE POINTS +2 points: If you find the killer as described above.

+1 point: If you interrogate at least one marker.

BONUS OBJECTIVE POINTS +1 point: For each terrain feature you control (closest unit that generates Fortitude within six inches, if tied then the unit with the most models controls it) after the first, up to a maximum of +3 points. Units may only control 1 terrain feature each.
