Diet Chef, the largest diet home delivery company in the UK with over 25,000 customers, have enjoyed continuous and significant growth and needed to ensure that their operational infrastructure was suitable to meet the business needs.
They engaged the services of the specialist Warehouse team at Gideon Hillman Consulting to develop and ensure that the logistics, warehouse and order picking operations and resources were optimised for current and future operational requirements.
The consultants successfully delivered the optimised designs for warehouse and pick-face layouts for current and future volumes based upon 5 year growth expectations.
Our Standard Warehouse Design Service includes:
j Scale CAD drawings showing rack and equipment layouts and defined work areas
j A full bill of equipment (racking / shelving etc..) and an MHE requirement list
j Standard Operating Procedures manual for all aspects of warehouse operations
j Warehouse Resource plan (people and shift pattern) to minimise cost per item picked
j WMS operational requirements specification to optimise the workflow
j Pickrate & cost to serve modelling and throughput analysis to develop inventory policy
