Chapter1 Introduction1.1 Start Up and Shut down the NVR1� Start up the NVRAfter successfully starting up the NVR, right click the main interface, it comes the the menu, click Unlock to unlock the system, and login� By default, username andpassword of administrator are admin�

2� Shut down the NVRRight click the main interface to get the menu out� Click Shut down and Shut down the NVR� After shutting down, please cut off power supply�

1.3 PlaybackClick Playback button on the main interface to enter the playback interface�

•Select DateClick to select date of record to playback� Dates marked in color means there is record(file) on the day�•Playback coordinateThe abscissa represents the time, and the ordinate the channel of camera� Choose the channel that you want to playback by checking the corresponding channel number�Note: It Supports 4-ch synchronous realtime playback.•Recording Progress barGreen bar means continuous record, red bar means motion record�•Play/Stop, Single frame play•Play SpeedIt supports 1/2,1/4,2,4 times of normal speed.•Time positioned play

Enter the exact time and click to playback�•Video download1�Click to access video download window;2�Choose the camera you want to backup;3�Enter start time and end time of the record;4�Choose the path and click download�

Notes:Each Disk can save 4 record file which must be less than 1G, and 120 photos� System will overwrite when exceeding limit�

Chapter2 Parameters Configuration2.1 Channel Management2.1.1 Channel ConfigClick Channel Management , enter into Channel Config as shown�

• SearchClick to search cameras which will be listed on the leftside box�

• Search&addSearch and add cameras with one click�

• Set IPDouble click the camera on the left list� It comes Modify IP Channel dialog, modifyIP and click OK�

• AddSelect the camera on the left list and then Add the camera to the NVR host�

• Channel NameDouble click the camera on the right list and input new name for camera�

• ViewCheck the box, the video will be shown on the main interface�

• up/downSelect the camera, click up/down to adjust it's order�

• DeleteSelect the camera on the right list, click to delete it�

2.1.2 Image ConfigClick Channel Management on the main menu, enter into Image Config as shown�

•ChannelSelect the camera you want to configure�

•White BalanceThere are auto,outdoor, fluorescence, manual, indoor, tungsten wire for option�

•Expose modeDrag the bar to adjust the expose intensity and sensitivity�

•Set ColorDrag the Red/Blue bar to adjust the image color� The white balance mode should be Manual before adjusting�

•Enhance ImageStrengthen the image edges to increase the image quality when turning it on�

•Stream rateThere are Low, Medium, High, Default for option�

•Digital shutterThere are 8 levels for option� By default, it is 1/25s� You can choose 1/100s to avoid shadow when there is high-speed movement� If the video is too dark when it is1/100s , you can change to 1/50s to increase the brightness�

•Frame rateChange frame rate, there are 4 levels for option�•IR switchSwitch according to the brightness of Image�

•Rotate 180°

2.1.3 PTZ ConfigClick Channel Management on the main menu, enter into PTZ Config as shown�

•PTZ ControlClick Up,Down,Left and right arrows to control PTZ rotating�

•PAN/TILT SpeedAdjust pan and tilt speed�

•Preset Set presets of Speed Dome Camera�1�Setting stepsSelect a camera, adjust its location, focus and zoom , enter the preset ID and preset name, and then click Add to save the preset� After successfully added, thepreset ID and preset name will display in the blank area� You can repeat the steps to add more presets�2� Presets UsingAfter adding presets,click Start Cruising ,and the dome will rotate among presets�

• Interval(s)The time in seconds to stay on a preset�

• AddFill in preset ID, preset name, then click Add to make them valid�

• DeleteChoose one preset, click Delete to delete it�• Auto ScanCheck the box, the speed dome will scan between 2 presets at an

2.1.4 Motion DetectionClick Channel Management on the main menu, enter into Motion Detection as shown�

•Motion Detection AreaChoose one camera channel and then set the area you need for motion detection� You can set multi-zone areas� Left click and drag the red box for motion detection area� The area can be cleared by draging the right mouse�

•Enable Motion DetectionCheck the box to make motion detection valid�

•SensitivitySensitivity level of motion detection�

•Apply to all camerasClick the button if you want to configure same settings to other cameras�

•Record DurationDuration of NVR continues recording after the moving object is detected�

Click Channel Management on the main menu, enter into Camera Config as shown�• Status

Display camera status and version�

• Transfer Mode

There are Space priority and Speed priority for option� Choose the camera and make sure that the status is connected, and then choose mode, click Set to make it valid� Speed priority is recommended.

• Camera ResolutionThis option is for 16-ch system only� You can choose a resolution of 640x352 or432x240 when there is 16-ch synchronous realtime live view� Click Set to make it valid� If there is 4-ch or 9-ch, the resolution is 1920x1080 or 1280x720�

• Display Camera TimeSelect the camera, check the box before Display Camera Time, click Set, it will display time on corresponding channel�

•Apply to all camerasClick the button if you want to configure same settings to other cameras�

2.2 Scheduled RecordClick Record Schedule button on the menu, enter into the interface as shown�

• Record mode There are 2 record modes:1)Continuous RecordThe system will be recording untill you stop it�2)Motion RecordThe system will start recording only when there are movements in specific area� You can set detect area in Motion De t ection �3)No RecordJust for live view, no recording�

•Start time/End timeSet start time and end time of recording�

•DateChoose date which you want to set in schedule�

•SaveChoose record mode, start time and end time, click Save to set new record mode� The lower list on the interface will show the record mode when successfully done�

•Apply to all camerasClick to configure the same setting to other cameras�

2.3 Disk ManagementClick Disk management button on the main interface, enter into the interface as shown�

• FormatClick to format the disk�

You can backup record files and images to mobile storage device here�Steps:Insert the removable storage device into NVR, Select files to copy on the left listand select destination folder on the right list,click copy to backup� And eject mobile storage device�

2.5 System MaintainClick System Maintain button on the main interface, enter into the interface as shown�

• UpdateCopy update file into U-disk, and plug U-disk into NVR, click Update to updatethe system�

2.6.1 GeneralClick System Configuration on the main menu, enter into General as shown�

•Output InterfaceIt supports VGA and HDMI�

•ResolutionChange screen resolution�

•System Date & System TimeSet Date and time�

•Device versionThe version information of system�

2.6.2 NetworkClick System Configuration on the main menu, enter into Network as shown�1.General Network setting• IP Setting

Setup the Ip address, subnet mask and gateway of the network card which needs to connect in the WAN� LAN is for public network card and the NVR's IP address, subnet mask and gateway should be setup here� IPC is RJ45 port of the cameras�

• Test NetworkClick to test whether network is well

2.DDNS

Register a free domain name with 4-8 characters (letters or numbers)� You can access NVR host After successfully applied�Notes:

When reinstall the NVR system, please delete the domain name first, otherwise the original domain name cannot be used�3.Other config

• Socket PortThe default socket port are 9000, you can change them to others,such as 9001.

• HTTP Server PortIn general, the default http server port is 80 when remote viewing through IE� you can also change it to other which is not in conflict with the other networking softwares in pc system, such as 90,8080� If changing 80 to other, input "http" before the domain name and a colon before HTTP Ser ver Port� For instance, change 80 to 90,you should input: http://*****.dvr99.org:90。

Notes:9000 can be changed,the number is better larger than 9000 to avoid conflicts with

You can adjust resolution, brightness, contrast, saturation, chroma and sharpness of the monitor in VGA mode� You can also set interval of cycle view here, the minimum is 5 seconds�

2.6.4 UserClick System Configuration on the main menu, enter into User as shown�•AddClick Add to add new user, enter username and password, and check the items you want the sub-users have�

•EditSelect one user , click to change settings according to your requirements�

•DeleteSelect one user , click to delete it�

•Cameras accessible to remote userCheck channels so that user can view or control the chosen cameras remotely�
