The Spice Girls

• As this music video is older than the rest I have analysed it shown a huge difference in what was voyeuristic then and how that is compared to now. As although the spice girls are not wearing what we would now class as voyeuristic clothes, they are still wearing revealing clothes and dancing in a voyeuristic manor. With them being a girl group, we see them dancing together mostly, which is how I would plan to do so in my music video.

• There are no specific close ups used through out the music video, this is perhaps due to them being a group and therefore would not like to single one person out more than the others therefore long shots are used to have more than one singer in the frame at a time.

Andrew Goodwin• Notion of looking is used through this music video as it

appears to the audience that they are looking through some sort of scope that has blurred edges, this is perhaps done so the audience believe they are watching the spice girls rather than just another music video and perhaps to increase verisimilitude. Also, the spice girls are singing to the camera to make it look as though they are singing to the audience to perhaps create a connection.

• Through out the music video the camera movement is constant and fast moving, due to the pop genre of the music being fast paced. This adds a fun feel to the music video. The camera is constantly moving and following the spice girls around which allows the pop genre to be easily recognised. The music video is mostly performance as there is no real narrative behind the video which is something I will take inspiration from as it occurs regularly during pop genre music videos.
