  • Mission statement: WAM PR is dedicated to using it’s resources to better the lives of people across the world.

  • The Problem

    ● Individuals who are without shoes have a higher chance of debilitating diseases such as hookworm, trauma and other foot infection which can result in stunted growth, loss of limbs, severe uncomfortability and disabled cognitive ability.

    ● There are an estimated 300 million children worldwide who do not have shoes

    ● These individuals are susceptible to many of the following repercussions:

  • The Solution:WAM PR has teamed up with three major corporations in the shoe industry which are Adidas, Nike and Puma. In addition, three of the best athletes in the world have agreed to join our team to help raise funds and awareness.

  • The Main Event:

    ● 5K run/walk through Grant Park in Chicago and Central Park in New York City.

    ● The 5K run/walk is $35 per person to participate and a donation of one pair of shoes is strongly encouraged.

    ● Each shoe donated will be matched by the shoe companies.

    ● Special guests include three professional athletes.

  • Main Event Continued:

    ● Three lucky competitors will be drawn at the end of the event to win a pair of signed shoes from each athlete

    ● Each athlete has offered the winner of each 5K one all expenses paid trip to watch them compete at a game or event of their choosing with sideline access before the event

    Strengths:

    ● The support and publicity from the major shoe companies and the athletes

    ● Highly populated cities where the 5K run and donation center will be held

    Weaknesses:

    ● Not everyone would want to contribute ● Hard to orchestrate shoe distribution

    Opportunity:

    ● Provide less fortunate people in places with low GDP and low quality of living with a pair of shoes to prevent diseases and increase quality of life

    ● Provide a positive image for companies and athletes included as well as for WAM PR

    Threats:

    ● Our supply of shoes could disrupt the culture of the people we are delivering to

    ● Terrorism with such a large crowd and only so much possible security

  • Objectives

    ● As a public relations agency, team up with Adidas, Nike, Puma, OBJ, Adam Jones and Usain Bolt to help raise awareness and funds to provide the less fortunate with footware.

    ● Host events such as a 5K run/shoe donation program to provide funding and shoes to the less fortunate.

    ● Use social media to create awareness for the event and to raise interest in attending. #MovingForwardTogether

    ● Provide the less fortunate--those in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Detroit and Moldova--with shoes to prevent diseases and improve their quality of life.

  • Tactical Plan

    ● Provide news releases that will appear in Eastbay,sporting goods catalogs and promotion through the shoe companies. Also, have celebrities promote the event through their shoe designs.

    ● Use go fund me account to collect funds to send to shoemaking companies overseas in order to prevent another Tom’s situation.

    ● Use social media accounts such as Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat and Instagram to raise awareness and entice people to donate with mutually benefitting ideas. #MovingForwardTogether

    ● Members of our organization will travel with the shoes and UPS to each of the three locations to help deliver the shoes.

  • Social Media Tactics

    ● WAM PR is utilizing four major social media platforms which are Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat to spread the word about our mission.

    ● Facebook and Twitter are being used because of the depth and quickness that information can be spread.

    ● Our PR firm is using Instagram and Snapchat because they are two social media platforms that are on the rise so our mission can be passed along to a great extent.

    ● Nike, Adidas and Puma will all add the link to the event in their bio as well as the go fund me page link

    ● Odell Beckham Jr. and Adam Jones have each signed 25 footballs and baseballs (From their respective sport) to distribute to snapchatters with the best drawings on posts to the National 5k story on the day of the event.

    ● Westin will be in charge of running the company’s snapchat and choosing 50 of the best snapchat drawings of the event and pertaining to it, and each winning account selected will win either an OBJ or Adam Jones signed ball.

    ● The winners will be selected and their drawings will be shown again at the end of the day.

    ● The shoes will be shipped within two weeks of the event conclusion on June 4th and they will arrive within that same week.
