  • Go to www.cga-dirt.com/ca811 Click on the Register button. The following screen will display

  • Click on the Start button The following screen will display Then click the Next button.

  • Step 2. Select Stakeholder Group. Select No-Other Stakeholder Group. Then click the Next button.

  • Select either California 811 or California Regional Common Ground Alliance. Step 3. Select Virtual Private DIRT. Then click the Next button.

  • Step 4: State Virtual Private DIRT. Select NO-OTHER or MULTIPLE State/Province operation. Even if you only operate in California - at this time there is no option for California Then click the Next button.

  • Click on the Register button next to California 811 - Virtual Private DIRT You will then be asked to fill out information like email, password, company information to complete the registration.

  • Within 5 days a CARCGA administrator will contact you to confirm your information and finish activation. Then you can begin inputting your facility events. After you have completed the registration you will receive the following instructions

  • Go to www.cga-dirt.com/ca811 Click on the Log into DIRT Application button, either button will work.

  • Enter your email address and password. Then click on Login.

  • Click on Damage Report

  • Answer the following questions using the drop down menu when available Input street address then click on map location Confirm location is correct and then click on set location to automaticall y set lat/long

  • Complete Part E through Part I using the drop down menu

  • Insert any additional information relevant to the facility event

  • Continue to complete Part Z using the drop down menu, this information is specifically used for the California Regional Common Ground Alliance For California Specific Questions, go to carcga.org and under documents tab click on California 811/CARCGA DIRT User Guide

  • Upload any pictures or other documents that are relevant to the facility event Click Submit when finished

  • Finished! March 31, 2015 is the deadline to report your 2014 facility events into CA 811 D.I.R.T.
