Adams Central Schools will be participating in a cancer awareness event in October 2017.

Wallace Elementary will be collecting donations for the Morrison Cancer Center here in Hastings on October 16th, 17th, 18th, 19th and 20th.

Students may bring their donation to school and add it to the buckets in the office area.   Each bucket will have a name on it - Mrs. Bohlen, Mrs. Matthies, and Mrs. Volzke.  The teacher that receives the most money in their bucket will be the winner.  The winning teacher will be duct taped to the wall on Tuesday, October 24th.

Wallace Clubs

We are so lucky to have four clubs that students may participate in each week from 3:25-4:10pm.

We offer the following clubs each week:Monday - 4-H Tuesday - Teach the TeacherWednesday - Books and Beyond

Page 5: wallaceprincipalscorner.weebly.comwallaceprincipalscorner.weebly.com/.../wallace_october_…  · Web viewWe have learned this new vocabulary word and put it into practice daily.

Thursday - Chess

If clubs will not be meeting, you will find that information on the monthly calendar. The staff prepares for each club by putting together materials and planning each activity. We strongly encourage students that are signed up for clubs to stay for the entire club. It tends to disrupt if students leave during the planned club activity, 3:25-4:10pm.

We use a check-off sheet each club day so teachers and club leaders will know exactly who will be attending. We know that there are times when students will need to be absent due to doctor/dentist appointments or family commitments. When students are going to be absent from a club please send a note or call the office. This information is given to the leaders so they know exactly who will be attending.

Families filled out the club sheets at the beginning of the school year and we know that things can change. If students have decided not to attend clubs or have decided they do want to be in clubs, please send a note or call the office. We are happy with so many students attending these clubs and hope this continues. Thank you for everything you do to help make our clubs a positive experience for the Wallace students and staff!
