Save on the World Map.

Quicksaving.....This is useful if you have to leave the game fo r a longperiod

of time and are stuck in the middle of a dungeon. Becareful

though! This save is temporary and will disappear the

next time you load your game.

Reviving........If you have any KO'd par ty members, don't waste yourPhoenix

Downs. Every major town has at least one REVIVEwellspring, so

use these as much as you possibly can.

Phoenix Downs...You can't buy Phoenix Downs anywhere! :( So save them forthe

moments when you are in *desperate* need of them! Likethose

dangerous Boss fights!

Wellsprings.....There are wellsprings almost everywhere, but are mostcommonly

found in towns. There are 3 types:

1. HP/MP = Completely restores HP and MP.2. Revive = Revives all KO'd party members.3. Status = Cures all status ailments.

Mini............Some areas of the game will require you to be Mini. Tocast

Mini you must have a Job that can use it, and MP. To getout

of Mini just recast it on your party members or use the"Mallet" item.

Shiny Spots.....Use the L Button to Zoom -In the camera. By doing thi s youcan

find "Shiny Spots". A Shiny Spot will often times be avaluable treasure and other times a hidden switch. There

aretons of them, so look carefully!

MP..............When you switch your Job f rom a physical-based Job(Monk),to a

magic-based Job(White Mage), your current MP will remainat

ZERO. Find the nearest HP/MP wellspring or Inn to restoreany

lost MP. You can also use an Elixir.

General Tips:=============- Always keep a stock of beneficial items. (Potions, Antidotes, Phoenix

Downs,Elixirs, Eye Drops, etc...)

- Explore and talk to everyone, you may get some interesting info orsometimes

even treasure!

- Don't sell anything! ONLY follow this advice if you are a

perfectionist. ;)

Battle Tips:============

- Focus on a single enemy until it dies. This will make battles easier.

- Any character with a long -range weapon should be in the back row. Thisway

they can still do full damage while taking LESS damage!

- You can equip and unequip weapons in the "Equipment" menu. This can bevery helpful if you forgot to do so before battle!

- Reserve MP if possible. Some weapons can cast magic, WITH NO MP COST,when

you select it in the "Item" menu! If the weapon is equipped, go intothe

"Item" menu and press "Up". This will take you to the "Weapons" menu soyou

can use the spells.

- Casting magic on multiple targets. If you are casting magic on theenemy,

press LEFT to cast it on all enemies. If you are casting magic on yourparty, press RIGHT to cast it on everyone!

- When in Mini, make your entire party magic -based.(Mages, etc) Mini willcause your party members to do TERRIBLE physical damage.

- Stealing can save you A LOT of money, as well as make you rich! ;)

- Dual-Wield. When you equip two weapons, you will witness someincredible

destructive power.(depen ding on your weapons)

- If you have a good Defensive Job, like Knight and Viking, try Duel -Shields!

Explanations of this Guide:===========================This section will explain a few important things that you should know

aboutwhile playing a new game and using this FAQ.

1. Navigating. When navigating this guide, it is best to use the searchfunction and enter the code given. I will only give you a code when

it'simportant, or when I think you'd might be interested in seeing moredetails. So, all you need to do is press Ctrl+F, then copy/paste the

codeincluding the brackets {}.

2. Checklists. At the start of each section in the walkthrough, I willwrite

out the following checklists:

Party: Current party members. Even though you'll never change them.:p

Level: The range of levels you should be. It's ok to be a higherlevel.

Enemies: Enemy encounters and Bosses.Treasure: What you will find in treasure chests, cont ainers, secrets,

etc.

About level recommendations, this is the MINIMUM level you should be.If

you are lower than what I have suggested, then you might findyourself

having a lot of trouble.

3. Treasure. Throughout the walkthrough, I will type items and treasurein a

Before heading south to Ur go back into Altar Cave. You will enter adifferentpart of the cave! Take the first right and you'll come to a "dead end".

Thereare a lot of places like this throughout the game, so keep an eye out forthem! ...or I'll just tell you. ;)

Inside the Sealed Cave, you will fight all undead monsters. If you needto,level up some! If you rushed everything so far, things might be a littledifficult in this cave.

NOTE: The Wightslayer you got in Castle Sasune will work really well inhere.

It's a light based sword and that's the main weakness of this cave!

When you are prepared, go into the Sealed Cave. Take the path all the waydown until you run into a chest with a >POTIONCURE500< Gil. Then talk to the skull

in the upper right of the room. A path will open and you'll encounterthe Princess! Watch the scene and she will temporarily join your party.

Shecan be helpful in battle by casting Aero and Cure! Nice Princess!

Go down to the next area. Follow the path to a fork in the road. Go downfirst to find an >ANTARCTIC WIND

Once you beat him, you will be teleported back to the Crystal. Here youwill

watch a scene, and then some credits? Weird. After this a moogle willappearand tell you about Jobs. Yes, you get the ability to change Jobs!

helpyou any. It is very, VERY weak when your characters are at low levels.

Go tothe "Finding the Onion Kn ight" section if you want it now. Ctrl+F. {OK}

The reason I chose this setup is because I'm all about power. I don'tlike

having Mages in my party. :P You might think I'm crazy, huh? Hehe.Well, Ido have a lot of yummy Potions and battle items!

Continue along. You'll see a cannon around here. It's fun to shoot itforabout 10 shots, but that's it. :P Go down and meet the Viking Leader. Hewill offer you his ship, to keep, if you help them out! It's a DEAL! Head

upand take the stairs outside.

No matter what you do, DON'T get on that s hip!! You'll fight the ultrapowerful Nepto Dragon that deals +10000 damage each round! So yeah, avoidhimat all costs! Except if you are WAY over leveled! Haha. Oh.

Also, if you want a complete Bestiary, don't worry, the Nepto Dragon isautomatically logged into your records.(except without stats,

unfortunately)

Walk along the cape until you reach Nepto Temple.

From Chocobo's Woods, head west. There is a lonely town on, what lookslike,

the EDGE of the world!! No way!

This place is disturbingly empty. In the second room of the castle, thereare 4 lit candles on the wall and a table in the left corner. Talk to the

farright candle to open a hidden passage. In this passage there are some

stairsand 3 treasure chests! Walk through the wall to get these. They contain

atotal of 3000 Gil! Mmmm, money. Now head up those stairs! This next area

isLOADED with treasure, too! You'll get 4700 Gil!

Go up the next stairs and you'll be on top of the castle. Go left firstandfollow the path until you reach a door. It's locked! But guess what, you

canpick the lock! To do this, you need to have a Thief in your party. Ooh,myfavorite Job! :P

NOTE: To open locked doors with Thief, it has to be at the top of yourparty.

In this room, talk to the dresser to open up the treasure room. You'llget:>Light ArrowKiller BowMedusa Arrow

thesoldiers is a spy and will attack you! Hehe, he isn't hard to beat. ;)

The far right cell has an open gate so go through it and take a right. Gointothe next open cell and you'll find a guard lying down. He'll give you a

MiniSpell so you can enter the tiny hole. That pot next to the hole will

fullycure your party! Thanks Hein! ^_^ Enter the hole once you have cast Mini

onyour entire party.

When you are through the hole, take your party out of Mini. Follow thepath upand around to a large spaced area. Immediately go down to find a treasure

Living Woods. Don't worry, there wasn't any treasure there. ;)After

this you won't be able to access the Living Woods ever again.

Back on the world map, head to your ship. Now that you have saved theArgusKingdom, the castle will be re -occupied! Let's go pay them a visit!

Once you make it to Castle Argus go inside. Remember the second room withthe4 lit candles? Take that secret passageway that you opened. Keep going

throughhere until you reach the roof of the castle.

Head left, then up, and enter the door here that used to be locked. Thereisa lady in here. Talk to her and she will give you two >ELIXIRWHEEL OF TIME

let'sgo see Cid!

Head to Canaan, that's where Cid lives. Remember? :P Go to his houseandtalk to him. He will use the Wheel of Time to turn your little boat into

anairship! Yay!!

The scene shown here is probably the most important one so far. And itlastsfor more than 3 seconds, too! Haha.

To board your ship, push A. To land, push B. You can only land in water.

Go into the left buildin g first. There is a secret passage to the right.

Find your way through these passages and you'll find two >PHOENIX DOWN< atthe very end.

NOTE: Don't worry about the room to the left of this dead -end. You can'tget

there at this point, but will be able to later on from a differentarea.

Now head back to the courtyard. Enter the building on the right.Talk to the four guys in here and they will upgrade your ship!!

Excellent!!!

Leave the castle and boa rd you brand new ship! Yay!

With Saronia Kingdom back in order, you can visit the towns for some newexcitement!

The library is now open and has some very interesting information inside!Go check it out! Use the Zoom -In feature and read all the shiny spots!

Welcome to the Cave of the Circle.

Head right following the path. Just keep going until you reach the end.Inthe last room, Doga will cough and then cast a spell on the Nautilus! It

cannow go underwater!!! Sweet! He will tell you to go to the Temple of

Time.Temple of Time? That sounds familiar. Hmm... Anyways, it is located in

thewater by Cape Twin Horn, so let's get a submarining! :P

In this area, there is a huge blue rug. Head to the right. There is asecret pathway leading to 8 treasure chests! They are all traps, but youget 4 Elixirs and 4 Phoenix Downs! This may not seem like much, but these

items are very rare!

When ready, go to the blue rug and head north. Up here you will find thelegendary warrior, Odin!

Once you have the Invincible, head over to the northeast continent. It istheonly land mass that you haven't been able to explore yet. And the reason

forthat are the Guardian Statues that will destroy you if you don't carry allfour Fangs.

Well, now that you have the Fangs, you can pass! When you get to thestatues,get out of your airship and take a walk down the row of guardians. Once

allof them have disappeared, get back in your ship and fly deeper into thecontinent's mountains.

Eventually you will find a white tower surrounded by a wall of some kind!Goin the wall and you will be in the Ancients' Maze!

Once inside, go north to find a door. This is the Crystal's Chamber. Youhavefinally found the last Crystal! But wait.....look out!!

From the Earth Crystal's room, head to the right. Follow the path up andthen to the left, grabbing the >ELIXIR< on your way. Then go through upthe stairs and through the large door.

NOTE: There is a monster in this room that you can steal/win ProtectRings

from. This monster is called King Behemoth! He is very rare, but ifyou

do manage to see him, try to steal a Protect Ring from him!! YourJob

level must be Lv. 99. Oh yeah... x_x

Continue north and you will then be leaving the Ancients' Maze. When yougetto the World Map, you'll notice that you're within the walls of the tower.

Make sure you are certain that you're positive that you' re stocked up onitemsand then proceed. In this enclosed area of the World Map, go ahead and

savethen enter the Crystal Tower.

This place is huge! HUGE!!!!!! Haha, yeah, it's big........I guess.

When I first died to Cloud of Darkness, I angrily turned off my DS becauseIspent at least a two hours in Crystal Tower, leveling up. I thought all

thelevels I has gained would ensure my victory. But when I died, I....yeah.
