Ridding Wood Trail • • • Grade: Easy access surfaced trail 1.5 km (1 mile), 45 mins The shortest and easiest trail at Grizedale through some unusual and ornate trees as well as beautiful oak woodland. Grizedale Tarn Trail • • • Grade: Moderate 5.5km (3.5 miles), 2 hours There are over twenty man-made tarns in Grizedale. Discover Grizedale Tarn, the only natural tarn in the forest. Silurian Way • • • Grade: Strenuous 16km (10 miles), 5 hours The ultimate Grizedale walk! A grand tour of the forest with many different artworks and views along the way. Bogle Crag Trail • • • Short trail: Grade: Moderate 4km (2.5 miles), 1½ hours Long trail: Grade: Moderate 5km (3 miles), 2 hours The iconic artwork ‘Taking a Wall for a Walk’ by Andy Goldsworthy, created in 1990, is well worth a visit on this trail.
