This English course will focus on reviewing grammar structures in order to improve the quality of writing and reading, structured on UVM´s mission and vision, visiting the University´s values throughout the course.

ATTENDANCE POLICY:

There will be 5 minutes of tolerance. The door will close 5 minutes after the official class start. There will not be any abscesses excused.

After being absent on the 6th hour automatic “Extra”(2 hours per day)

DEATH LINE POLICY:NO late assignments. If any student is not in class on the day of a quiz or an exam he or she will not be able to take it another time.

Note: Exceptions may apply.

If any student does not turn in any assignment on time, it won´t be accepted.

Note: Death Line Extension may apply.

DEATHLINE EXTENSION POLICY:It is each student´s responsibility to GET IN CONTACT in PERSON and via email and facebook with his or her teacher at least 3 days BEFORE the due date of any assignment in order to get an extension.

DEATHLINE EXTENSION POLICY:If the student has an EXTRAORDIANRY excuse, and is absent on a due date, he or she must contact his or her teacher, in order to get authorization from him/her to turn in the assignment the following day, graded out of 9 instead of 10.

Note: Each teacher may grant more days to turn in the assignment.

DEATHLINE EXTENSION POLICY:

*In order to be granted with a death line extension, students may not have past 3 (hours) absent marks. If a student has more than 2 written warning or has up to 3 absent marks, the Death Line Extension may be denied.

 2. NO food in the classroom. NO exceptions.

 3. NO Hats in the class room. NO exceptions.

4. Electronic communication and entertainment devises such as, cell phones, radios (Nextel radios), laptops, IPods, etc., WILL NOT be allowed in the class room in the schedule stated above. 5. There ARE NOT any “JUSTIFICANTES” under any circumstance, Chapter II Student´s General Rules (Capitulo II del Reglamento Gral. De alumnos) 6. Attendance WILL NOT BE GRADED. 7. ATTANDANCE will be called everyday at the beginning of class.

8. ORDER in the classroom, RESPECT between classmates, APPROPRIATE language in the classroom. DO NOT interrupt class. 9. NO late work. NO exceptions. 10. Due date extension Will BE granted by the teacher´s discretion. ONLY to students who: Have less than 3 absence marks. (3hours) Have not broken any rule in this SOCIAL CONTRACT.

10. Attendance: There will be a 5 minute tolerance. He or she will NOT be able to take part of class for that day if he or she arrives late. 11. PLAGIRZED ESSAYS will be NOT be graded. Giving the student and automatic 0 in his or her paper. DO NOT copy or paste other people´s essays. Zero tolerance on Plagiarism and copying assignments.

12. Any student who does not abide to this rules, WILL STEP OUT of the classroom, and will not be able to participate in the class for that day. ACTIONS:1ST OFFENSE- Rule reminder. VERBAL WARNING.2nd OFFENSE- Student WILL STEP OUT of the classroom. WRITTEN WARNING.
