Transcript of Wake Up Call pamphlet
You have 3 main coronary artery branches. Parts of them go deep into the heart muscle and supply the heart with blood and oxygen.
Over time, these arteries can be damaged by the way you live. They can become narrowed or closed up completely from years of:
o smoking
o high blood pressure
o high fat/high cholesterol foods
o too little exercise
o too much stress
The result is poor blood flow and maybe a heart attack. You can reduce your risks for a heart attack with new health habits. Let’s get started.
Heart disease kills many men and women each year.
About 15% of these deaths happen before age 65. Many who die will not have known they had heart disease.
You can start reducing heart risks at any age and get results. Often, you feel better in a short time when you change to more healthy habits.
Use this pamphlet as your journal to get started. There are places to check information about yourself and the steps you will take to reduce your risks.
