1. 0:00 – 0:30–Wide low angle of a

motorway, clear visual of car tops

and then it should fade until trees

come into vision.

Pan right to left, 360 degrees

spin as Music starts to play

Wide shot with character centre and

then a pan of the subject’s body

head to toe.

Over the shoulder shot, seeing the

dark forest in front of the

character, and then slowing zooming

out as the character walks away in

the distance.

Distant sounds of cars and trees

blowing in the wind.

Music intro plays

Feeling my way through the

darkness, Guided by a beating

heart.

I can’t tell where the journey

will end, but I know where to

start.

2. 0:30 – 1:00 – Mid shot of a child

playing in a playground, it should

be foggy so that it’s portrayed as

a dream and you’ll get that effect

from fog.

Shots of the forest, e.g. Trees,

ground, sky through the tree tops,

any animal or insects. All the

surrounding in the filming

location.

They tell me I’m too young to

understand, They say I’m caught

up in a dream.

Well life will pass me by if I

don’t open my eyes, Well that’s

fine by me.

3. 1:00 – 1:30 – character was lay on

the floor, using a close up shot of

his face and then his body to show

he doesn’t want to be awake until

he’s wiser and older, and there

should be clear signs that he’s

lost.

As the character is climbing over

the last house prop, he then trips

and falls to the floor. An extreme

close up will focus on his face and

then a point of view shot is

focused on his hands (which are

dirty).

A wide shot is focusing him getting

up and getting the dirt off his

hands wiping himself down. Then an

over the shoulder shot of him

walking through the forest.

So wake me up when it’s all

over, when I’m wiser and older.

All this time I was finding

myself, and I didn’t know I was

lost. (2x)

I tried carrying the weight of

the world, but I only have two

hands.

Hope I get the chance to travel

the world, but I don’t have any

plans.

4. 1:30 – 2:00 –A wide shot is used of

him running towards the camera and

then when his chest is in frame it

cuts to him jumping over props (to

do with school). This shot will be

a wide shot mixed with close up and

extreme close ups on all the props

and his feet.

Wish I could stay forever this

young, not afraid to close my

eyes.

5. 2:00 – 2:30–When he stops running

he comes to a ditch and jumps, this

would be taken using mid, close and

extreme shots. The landing will be

shot with an extreme shot which

will capture his feet landing in

the soil.

Life’s a game made for everyone

and love is the prize.

6. 2:30 – 3:00 –He then gets up and

fixes his clothes, a close up shots

focuses on his neck. A extreme shot

is used to show two triangles on

his neck which relate to the artist

of the song.

So wake me up when it’s all

over, when I’m wiser and older.

All this time I was finding

myself, and I didn’t know I was

lost. (2x)

Slow motion will be used when he

reveals the triangles on his

neck and then walks away.

7. 3:00 – 3:30–Wide shot is used to

show him walking away from where he

fell and then an over the shoulder

shot is used. He then starts to see

the triangle carved into trees, he

realizes it’s the same on his neck

and an extreme close up is used of

him touching it. He follows the

trees and then finds a campsite and

friendly people with the same

triangle mark but in different

places. Close up shots are used to

show different parts of the camp

and the peoples reaction when they

see the main character. They all

greet the main character with

friendly gestures and point to

their marking to show how they are

like him. They offer him a drink, a

close up shot is used for this and

then pointed to a boom box/speaker

and then the camera pans out and

shows them all dancing/drinking.

Didn’t know I was lost, I didn’t

know I was lost; I didn’t know I

was lost. I didn’t know (didn’t

know, didn’t know).

Music fades out

I think at 0:00 – 0:30 when there is ‘distant sounds of cars,

and trees blowing in the wind’ where Ryan has put ‘wide low

angle of forest tree tops’ I think it’d be better if we could

fit in a visual of cars on a motorway to highlight the cars

and not just the trees.

At 00:30 – 1:00 where Ryan has said he wants a ‘mid shot of

the character walking towards the camera and then an extreme

close up shot of the characters eyes’ I think that technique

is good, but the lyrics are ‘they tell me I’m too young to

understand, they say I’m caught up in a dream’ I think it’d be

better if we make an edit of a little child playing but it’s

like a foggy dream so it’s defining the lyrics.

At 1:00 – 1:30 I don’t understand why there is home related

props used to define the lyrics ‘so wake me up when it’s all

over, when I’m wiser and I’m older. All this time I was

finding myself, and I didn’t know I was lost’ it doesn’t

exactly relate to it and I think it’d be better if the

character was lay on the floor, using a close up shot of his

face and then his body to show he doesn’t want to be awake

until he’s wiser and older, and there should be clear signs

that he’s lost.
