Call to Worship
▶ Praise the LORD! Praise the LORD from the heavens;
praise him in the heights!
▶ Praise him, all his angels; praise him, all his hosts!
▶ Praise him, sun and moon, praise him, all you
shining stars!
▶ Praise him, you highest heavens, and you waters
above the heavens!
▶ Let them praise the name of the LORD! For he
commanded and they were created.

Hymn of Adoration
Stand Up and Bless the Lord (CP9)
1. Stand up and bless the Lord,
You people of His choice;
Stand up, and bless the Lord your God,
With heart and soul and voice.
2. Though high above all praise,
Above all blessing high,
Who would not fear His holy Name,
And laud and magnify?
3. God is our Strength and Song,
And His salvation ours;
Then be His love in Christ proclaimed
With all our ransomed powers.

Hymn of Adoration
Jesus, the Very Thought of Thee (HOP55)
1. Jesus, the very thought of Thee
With sweetness fills my breast;
But sweeter far Thy face to see
And in Thy presence rest.
2. Nor voice can sing, nor heart can frame,
Nor can the memory find
A sweeter sound than Thy blest name,
O Savior of mankind.
3. O hope of every contrite heart,
O joy of all the meek,
To those who fall how kind Thou art!
How good to those who seek!
4. But what to those who find? Ah, this
Nor tongue nor pen can show –
The love of Jesus, what it is,
None but His loved ones know.

Scripture Reading – John 14:1-6
1 “Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe
also in me.
2 In my Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so,
would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for
you?
3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come
again and will take you to myself, that where I am you
may be also.
4 And you know the way to where I am going.”
5 Thomas said to him, “Lord, we do not know where you
are going. How can we know the way?”
6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the
life. No one comes to the Father except through me. ”

Holy Communion
A Purple Robe, a Crown of Thorn (CP171)
1. A Purple Robe, a Crown of Thorn,
A reed in His right hand;
Before the soldiers’ spite and scorn
I see my Savior stand.
He bears between the Roman guard
The weight of all our woe;
A stumbling figure bowed and scarred
I see my Savior go.
Refrain
Fast to the cross’s spreading span,
High in the sunlit air,
All the unnumbered sins of man,
I see my Savior bear.
2. He hangs, by whom the world was made,
Beneath the darkened sky;
The everlasting ransom paid,
I see my Savior die.
He shares on high His Father’s throne,
Who once in mercy came;
For all His love to sinners shown
I sing my Savior’s name.

Responsive Hymn
I Know Not Where the Road Will Lead (CP388)
1. I know not where the road will lead
I follow day by day,
Or where it ends: I only know
I walk the King’s highway.
I know not if the way is long,
And no one else can say;
But rough or smooth, uphill or down,
I walk the King’s highway.
2. And some I love have reached the end,
But some with me may stay,
Their faith and hope still guiding me:
I walk the King’s highway.
The way is truth, the way is love,
For light and strength I pray,
And through the years of life,
To God I walk the King’s highway.
3. The countless hosts lead on before,
I must not fear nor stray;
With them, the pilgrims of the faith,
I walk the King’s highway.
Through light and dark the road leads on
Till dawns the endless day,
When I shall know why in this life
I walk the King’s highway. 、

PRAYER REQUESTS AND NOTICES 05 July 2020
1.GPC 2020 Theme: Word & Evangelising Scripture: Acts 17: 11 Now these Jews were more noble than those in Thessalonica; they received the word with all eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see if these things were so.
2.Chinese Service EDC Zoom Meeting The Pastoral team and all Elders and Deacons are required to attend the Zoom meeting today, 5 July, at 2.00pm.
3.GPC EDC Zoom Meeting The Pastoral team and all Elders and Deacons of the Chinese and English Services are required to attend the Zoom meeting on Friday, 17 July 2020 at 8.00pm.
4.Tuesday Prayer Meeting Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, ever since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, although the church is unable to hold our regular services and gatherings, we strongly believe that everyone still thirsts for the scripture, prayer, worship and evangelism, as well as caring for the needs of others. Therefore, our church will hold our weekly prayer meetings virtually, every Tuesday at 8pm via a WhatsApp broadcast group. The sequence is as follows: Introduction, Songs, Scripture Reading, Prayer items. We hope to have more prayer warriors join us from your individual homes!
Pr. Erlina Christynova (the in-charge of our church’s prayer meetings) will be sending out the WhatsApp invite link, and we encourage all members to join this group and partake in the church’s prayer ministry!
5.COVID-19
We ask all brothers and sisters to specially pray for Singapore and other countries during this time of need. May the Lord grant us His mercy, compassion and healing.
6.COVID-19: Phase 2 Reopening
The Singapore Government announced on 15 June that we will be entering Phase 2 reopening on 19 June. Although the community spread of the virus is under control, there is always the potential for the virus to resurface.
We should continue to do our part to ensure the health and safety of ourselves and those around us.
Therefore, everyone should continue to maintain a high level of self-discipline and take the necessary precautions: avoid gathering in groups (social gatherings should not exceed 5 in number), maintain 1m social distancing, scan the SafeEntry QR code when you enter and leave the premises, download the TraceTogether app, always wear a mask and monitor your temperature etc.

Dear Members of Glory Presbyterian Church,
The Singapore Government announced on 15 June 2020 that we will be entering Phase 2 reopening on 19 June 2020.
Our church will continue to suspend all our services and gatherings, pending further details to be announced by the government. Nonetheless, our online broadcast of Sunday services will continue. We ask that all members inform your family and friends.
Our church will also continue to hold our weekly prayer meetings virtually, every Tuesday at 8pm via a WhatsApp broadcast group, lasting about 30mins. This will allow each of us to join in and pray together in our respective homes. We hope to have more prayer warriors join us!
Pr. Erlina Christynova (the in-charge of our church’s prayer meetings) will be sending out the WhatsApp invite link, and we encourage all members to join this group and partake in the church’s prayer ministry!
We ask everyone to continue to keep our church in your prayers, that He will continue to guide, lead and bless us!
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. [Jeremiah 29: 11 (ESV)]
