ACEH WORKS ON GEOTHERMAL POWER PLANT FOR ENERGY INDEPENDENCE

Aceh is planning to build an 80 megawatt geothermal power plant (PLTP) within three years in the town of sabang to revive its economy ,an independent power producer has said

PT.Sabang Geothermal Energy (SGE),the independent power producer (IPP) that is runing the project plans to drill in four locations at the beginning of december.

“We are still waiting for the land permits from the ministry”,PT SGE representative nurdin said in sabang.

Since president Joko “Jokowi’ Widodo visited sabang six month ago, the mayor’s office has been approached by a number of investor looking for potential investment opportunities on the country’s westernmost island,said sabang mayor Zulkifli H Adam.

The sabang administratioan was ready to assist with land issues for the geothermal power station and its transmission lines, Zulkifli added

“I believe that the aceh governor wants the project to be completed as soon as posible “, he said.

According to Zulkifli , the availability of electtricity has become a major obstacle for the development of the maritime industry in aceh .

“we need reliable electricity with strong capacity immediately, we need to build more hotels, revive the fishing industry and stimulate port regeneration to create jobs” Zulkifli said.

Jokowi recently instructed state-owned power company PLN to intensify a new diesel power station in sabang in order to ease the power demand in the province.(nov/dan)

ACEH KERJAKAN PABRIK TENAGA PANAS BUMIUNTUK ENERGI MANDIRI

Aceh berencana untuk membangun pabrik tenaga panas bumi 80 megawatt dalam tiga tahun di kota sabang untuk menghidupkan kembali ekonomi ini, kata produsen tenaga mandiri.

PT Sabang Geothermal Energy (SGE),produsen tenaga mandiri (IPP) itu dijalankan dengan rencana proyek untuk mengebor di empat lokasi pada awal bulan desember.

“kita tetap menuggu untuk izin lahan dari kementrian” kata nurdin di sabang mewakili PT SGE.

Sejak presiden Joko”Jokowi”Widodo mengunjungi sabang enam bulan lalu, kantor walikota telah didatangi sejumlah investor yang melihat peluang investasi yang berpotensi atas pulau paling barat negara(indonesia) ,kata walikota sabang Zulkifli H Adam.

Administrasi sabang telah siap untuk membantu persoalan lahan untuk pangkalan tenaga panas bumi dan bentuk/jalur pengiriman, tambah Zulkifli

“saya percaya bahwa gubernur aceh ingin proyek ini berjalan secepatnya”,katanya.

Menurut Zulkifli,ketersediaan dari listrik menjadi masalah utama untuk pengembangan industri maritim di aceh.

“kita butuh listrik yang dapat diandalkan dengan kapasitas kuat dengan segera, kita butuh untuk membangun banyak hotel hotel, menghidupkan kembali dan memancing industri dan merangsang pembaharuan pelabuhan untuk membuat lapangan pekerjaan, kata Zulkifli.

Jokowi akhir akhir ini menginstruksikan bagian perusahaan tenaga yang dimiliki PLN untuk meningkatkan pangkalan tenaga diesel baru di sabang dalam perintah untuk meringankan tuntutan tenaga dalam provinsi.
