Yamashima Sensei has studied Aikido for over 55 years. Hestarted in 1961 with Arikawa and Yamada Sensei, practicing

later with Doshu Kisshomaru Ueshiba, Osawa Kisaburi, Saotomeand Masuda Sensei. A long-time student (about 20 years)

of Seigoof Seigo Yamaguchi, he was often assigned to attend O-Senseiduring the last years of his life.

Yamashima Sensei instructs at the Chiyoda-ku Aikikai, MinamiTanaka Dojo, and the Nerima Aikido Rengokai Dojo, and canusually be found at Aikikai Hombu Tokyo morning practice.He is also licensed in Yagyu Shinkage Ryu (sword) and gives

seminars in many countries around the world
