Notices
BEING BAPTIZED TODAY during the 9:30AM service is seven month old
Thomas Short, son of Charnine and Luke Harold Gordon Short of Naremburn.
Have you bought MOTHER’S DAY RAFFLE TICKETS yet? The ladies of the
WOMEN’S EVENING GROUP are running their first-Sunday-of-the-month stall
this morning in the Upper Room and would be happy to sell you, besides handmade
items and jams, a fistful of raffle tickets. Each ticket bought not only improves your
chance of winning, but also supports the Women’s Evening Group.
MORNING TEA after the 8:00AM service is on, but self service. Morning tea
after the 9:30AM service will observe the patronal festival in a low key way.
REMEMBERING YVONNE MOON AT CHORAL EVENSONG 12 MAY, 4:00PM
At Choral Evensong next Sunday we will be taking the opportunity to remember
our late friend Yvonne Moon in the prayers (noting Yvonne’s birthday was in May).
Yvonne enjoyed the solemnity and beauty of Choral Evensong and so this will be a nice way of remembering her as a much loved member of our parish and thanking
God for her faithful service to Him in this parish over many years. At the
conclusion of Evensong, Father Keith will dedicate “Yvonne’s Chair” in the
narthex, following which we will have the usual afternoon tea.
The next WOMEN’S EVENING GROUP FRIENDSHIP MORNING TEA will
be Monday, 13 May at 10:00AM, with guest speaker Peter Mury to talk on
“European Travels”. All parishioners are welcome, both men and women.
Jen Lum informs us that she is on the KAIROS PRISON MINISTRY TEAM
which will be going into Emu Plains Correctional Centre For Women to run a
course in Christianity 20-24 May. Jen and the team “would appreciate prayer that the Holy Spirit would work in the hearts and minds of the women who will be
attending the course so that they will be open to hearing about Jesus and accepting
Him as their Lord and Saviour.”

Like our own homes, the Lord’s house needs cleaning, too. Could you participate
in occasional WEEKDAY CLEANING OF THE CHURCH? The job entails
straightening kneelers in the pews, vacuuming the carpet and removing wax drops,
sweeping, polishing, et cetera. You would not be needed every week, but join a
roster. Some who have been doing the job are unable to do so right now. Contact
Meg McDonald in the church office.
