To assist in chromatography and other procedures requiring electrical service

and interior access, the symphony™ Chromatography units include two each,

sidewall mounted access ports with hinged covers and a rear wall mounted

GFCI protected duplex electrical outlet. The symphony™ Chromatography

Series also features a microprocessor temperature controller that allows for

precise temperature control, recovery and maintenance versus mechanical dial

thermostats. Samples and supplies are protected with an extensive package of

temperature security and alarm features. In addition, a large digital display

and solution bottle are installed to provide an accurate indication of sample

temperatures.

VWR® symphony™ Manual and Auto-Defrost Freezers

VWR® symphony™ Laboratory Freezers feature a microprocessor temperature controller and digital temperature display backed up by an audible and visual alarm package to help ensure the temperature stability and safety of samples and supplies.

Manual defrost units also feature five insulating inner doors and a manual defrost operating system to limit product-damaging temperature spikes. In addition to the elimination of damaging auto-defrost cycles, the inner doors help reduce cold air loss during main door openings and greatly improve temperature recovery on manual defrost units.

Both the manual and auto-defrost symphony™ units, featuring a microprocessor temperature controller, allow for precise temperature control, recovery and maintenance vs. mechanical dial thermostats. VWR® Hazardous Location (Explosion Proof) Laboratory Refrigerators & Freezers

Hazardous Location certified units (sometimes referred to as Explosion Proof) are the units of choice when requirements exist to refrigerate or freeze general or flammable materials in a hazardous area or room. Hazardous Locations are designated by OSHA and NEC (National Electrical Code) as Class 1, Division II, Group C & D. Sources of sparks and ignitions such as lights, thermostats, switches, fans, relays and compressor have been removed or sealed in both the interior and exterior of the unit per NFPA and OSHA guidelines. These units are not supplied with a power cord and are required to be hard wired in conduit to a 120 VAC power source.

• Meet NFPA and OSHA guidelines for Hazardous Locations, Class 1, Division II, Group C & D. These units are not intended for use in general clinical or research laboratories.
