Established in 1998
Founders – Vilnius University, Valiunas Ellex (previously LAWIN), Students Union of
Vilnius University.
Graduate law students are supervised by law professionals and provide free legal aid
for the society:
Socially disadvantaged natural persons (child protection legal matters,
women rights protection, domestic violence victims)
Young businessess and start-ups
Non-governmental organisations (NGOs)
We have helped 50’000 families already.
Our goal is to help 4’000 people each year.

The importance of the Legal Clinic
The President of the Republic of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaite
has noted Legal clinic’s significant contribution:

legal aid for the most vulnerable members of our society. Thank

helping the weakest members of our nation. You are the last

Strategy
Mission:
Consolidate law students’, academics’ and other legal professionals’ effort for the benefit of the society.
Vision:
Internship place for the most talented law students, which provides diverse and deep practicalknowledge while providing legal aid and helping socially vulnerable population as well as needfulsocial projects (NGO initiatives and start-ups).
Goals:
- Promote access to justice amongst people who are not able to afford profesional help.
- Protect the legal interests of children, single mothers and women.
- Promote entrepreneurship and help young businesses in Lithuania.
- Assist non-governmental organisations.

• Legal clinic will provide advice in:– Labour and social protection law
– Family law
– Contract law
– Tax law
– Governmental
– Intellectual property law
– Dispute resolution
• The quality will be ensured with the assistance of tutors
– professors and academics of Vilnius University Faculty
of Law.
