Dear Sir,■ The National Action Council has instructed me to obtain

from your committee a full report of your preparations for the Conference which you were asked to organise for Sunday July 25th.We require full details of the arrangements for the Conference and of preliMlnary work being done and proposed.

In addition it is suggested that your committee draw up a plan of campaign for your province for the spreading of the idea of the Congrees of the People and for gathering in the demands of the people for the Freedom Charter. This plan should be submitted to the latlonal Action Council before the 25th July for approval and will be the basis for all your work after the Conference. ^

We are sending copies of the detailed explanation of the Congress of the People, and also of the Call to the Congress, which all national organisations are being asked to endorse.These documents should be distributed to all branches of th sponsoring organisations for careful study, and any queries in this regard should be forwarded to the National Action Council.

A detailed circular on the important question of Volunteers, as to enrolment, method of organisation, and allocation of tasks, is being prepared and will be inthe foilowing week. ^

A copy of this letter is being sent to the separate organisations.
