Basic TerminologyDashboard

• A collection of Dashparts that can be viewed together

• A user may have multiple Dashboards seen as multiple tabs on their My Stuff>Dashboard

Dashpart

• A user defined component of the Dashboard.

• A dashboard can contain multiple Dashparts.

Base

• The core data available to a Dashpart.

• Dashparts include project, account, account detail, and favorite reports.

• Each Dashpart is built on a single base

• Options to group, sort, and apply conditional formatting

• Dashpart built using the dashpart designer using report bases that display information in graphical format

• Chart options include Bar, Column, Line, Spline, Area, Area Spline and Pie


» Dashpart Bases define the type of data to be used on a dashpart

» Report Bases

» Project – project hub info, compensation and contract amounts, transactional totals, WBS levels

» Account - account information at account level

» Account Detail – account information at transactional level

Define general information on dashpart like:

• Base

• Type (Chart or Table)

• Saved Search filters

• Title & Subtitle


Options to control various attributes

of the dashpart like adding additional

columns to the dashpart, creating

Calculated Fields or controlling the

sort order

Table Options


• Control how many records

display with Show Top

Records. This works in

conjunction with the sort order

to limit data displayed

• Add Notes about the

dashsparts

• Control the text and

background color based on a

condition that exists in the data
