• Introduction of “Phrases” :

A Phrase is a group of words that are used together.

Child should read the phrases given below.

• Introduction of Conjunction - “and” :

A Conjunction is a word that joins two words, phrases or

sentences.

Few examples of “and” Conjunction are given below :

* cat and rat * boy and girl

* a bat and a ball * a hen and a cop

* a top and a pot * Tom and Jerry

* a mug and a jug * jam and bread

* dal and rice

• Rhyme :

Miss Molly had a Dolly.

• Take practice of dictation “at” word.

❖ Writing :

Note : Parents should copy the contents day wise with blue / black pen

& ask their child to complete the full page allotted for that day

with pencil. Try to avoid eraser. Child should finish one page

within 20 minutes.

❖ Maths :

• Introduction of no l (Tens and units)

Take few candy sticks. Now count till ten and tie a bundle of l 0 candy

sticks. Tell that this is l ten. Now take candy sticks and keep them

beside the bundle of l ten. Tell your child these are units. So l ten

and units make number l .

• Revision of ordinals : lst = First to l0th = Tenth

Take l0 objects / toys which are easily available at home. Keep them in

one single line. Tell your child about ordinal numbers. Tell him / her

that elephant is first in line. Ball is second in line. Rabbit is 5th in

line. Giraffe is l0th in line etc. After some practice rearrange the

objects/toys and now ask your child who is first, second third etc.

❖ Project (Water) Continued: Properties of Water.

Parents, tell your child water exists in 3 states, they are liquid, solid and

gaseous. ( show your child 3 different states of water)

➢ Water we drink that is in a liquid form.

➢ We use ice in cold drinks, If we keep water in the freezer, it will

become ice. Ice is a solid form of water.

If ice is kept at the room temperature, it melts and again becomes

water (liquid state).

➢ If we heat water, it evaporates in form of steam. It is a gaseous

state of water.

• Mopping - Children should help the parent mop the floor at home.
