• First layer – light weight that will wick away sweat
• Second layer – Warm long sleeve shirt, jeans• Third layer – Thin fleece• Final layer – Warm, water-proof layer• Hat / Gloves / Scarf• Water-Proof Boots / Extra socks• Lip balm/tissues• Exposed skin can freeze!IT WILL BE COLD AND THE BEST WAY TO ENJOY

First Pick-up: Ludlowe (Front Entrance)• Please arrive at school by 5:45.• Passport/ Birth Certificates will be collected.Second Pick-up: Warde (Front Entrance)• Please arrive at school by 6:00.• Passport/ Birth Certificates will be collected.

CHILDREN & STUDENTS (15 YEARS OR YOUNGER) ****see exception Valid Passport - All passports must be valid for at least six (6) months beyond the conclusion of your trip OR Original Birth Certificate (copies must be notarized) – it is suggested that a piece of photo identification (such as a School Student ID Card) should accompany the birth certificate
• Please make TWO (2) COPIES of the passport/documents.• Keep 1 copy home, please submit one copy to your tour
leader.• All official documents will be collected and verified the
morning of departure.• Re-collected after passing the border and kept in a secure

We understand that the Student will travel to Québec City, Canada, with a departure date of FEBRUARY 10, 2011 and a return date of FEBRUARY 13, 2011, and acknowledge that we have been given a complete itinerary (the "Itinerary") for the Tour. We understand and acknowledge that participation in the Tour is a privilege, and that the Student must comply with all rules and regulations of the Fairfield Public Schools, before and during the Tour. We further acknowledge receipt of a Code of Conduct, with which the Student must comply at all times during the Tour. We understand that we are allowing the Student to travel with Chaperones, whose names have been disclosed to us, and that such Chaperones will temporarily act in loco parentis, or as custodian of the Student for the duration of the Tour. We understand and acknowledge that international travel may involve certain risks beyond the control of Fairfield Ludlowe High School, Fairfield Public Schools, the Fairfield Board of Education, or their officers, directors, elected representatives, employees, volunteers, agents, representatives and/or Chaperones ("Released Parties"), including but not limited to accidents, injuries, emergencies, exposure to reckless conduct of other persons, natural disaster, world events, terrorism and/or negligence of security and/or medical personnel, and that the Released Parties disclaim any and all responsibility for any such risks. In consideration of the educational value of travel to Québec City, Canada, the opportunities to be offered to the Student during the Tour, and other privileges and advantages to be gained by the Student's participation in the Tour, we agree to the following terms and conditions of participation: 1. The Tour is subject to cancellation, and the Itinerary is subject to change, at any time prior to, and during, the Tour at the discretion of, or due to circumstances beyond the control of, the Released Parties, acting individually or
Les règles du car (Coach Bus Rules)
• Eating is allowed, however please be neat and put your garbage in the garbage bag at the back of the bus.
• Must be seated at all times, except for bathroom breaks.• No bags in the aisle (or bodies!)• Respect others’ privacy; no screaming or loud noises.• Be sure to thank the bus driver everytime you got on/off.• Check to make sure you have not left anything on the
bus.

• All school rules apply for the entire trip; from departure to return home. (24 hours/day)
• Students are NOT PERMITTED to PURCHASE / POSSESS:– ALCOHOL– DRUGS– TOBACCO– WEAPONS OF ANY KIND
• Student conduct (Please see handout from Student Handbook)

• In the event of a serious discipline issue, the chaperone will contact the students’ Parents, Dean and Housemaster.
• The administration will decide the appropriate course of action which will then be communicated to both the parent and the chaperone.
• The appropriate course of action will then be taken.
Communication• Should you need to contact me, please
send a text to my cell phone number.• Once we have arrived and settled into the
hotel for the night, I will send an email to all parents.
• Please keep a copy of the contact and hotel information handy at home.
Les chambres (Rooming)
• Rooms should be kept orderly and organized to allow the cleaning staff to maintain the room.
• 10pm– Lights Out: Important to get a good night
sleep; very full itinerary– Arrival of Night Hall Monitor
• If you have not done so, please communicate your roommate preferences.
Les médicaments (Medications)
• Any student taking a medication needs to complete an Authorization Form and submit it to the school nurse.
• Prescription medications are kept by the chaperones and administered per doctor’s orders.
• Any student taking a prescription medication is assigned a chaperone who will be responsible for dispensing the medication.
• S/he will arrange the dispensing schedule.
Les urgences (Emergencies)
• If a student gets hurt or sick, the chaperones will first contact the parent to discuss the situation and decide a course of action together.
• Prométour has an on-call doctor in the event a student needs to be seen.
• In emergencies, we would certainly call 911 and seek medical attention immediately.
• Since the price of the trip includes all the food, pocket money is at the discretion of each family.
• First stop is at a Money Exchange.• Only change enough for the trip.• It’s costly to change money back to dollars.• Only use Canadian money.• Traveler's checks / Cash / ATM Card
– Use which ever you feel most comfortable giving to your son/daughter.
