Developments have continued at a fast pace:• 1961 , the first computers went into operation.• 1967 , the Volvo Group gathered IT operations in a separate company, Volvo Data.• 1998 , the current global Volvo IT was created.• 2001 , IT staff at Renault Trucks & Mack Trucks Inc. integrated with Volvo IT.• 2007 , Volvo IT incorporated Fortos, a management consulting company and
