FACT SHEETTransmission application TRAP-HD

TRAP-HD means a reinforced gearbox. The variant is available for both I-Shift and manual gearbox. The design of reinforce-ment details differs between the gearboxes.

TRAP-HD for I-ShiftTRAP-HD for I-Shift AT2612D, AT2612F, ATO2612D and ATO2612F means a reinforced gear shift system.

All I-Shift AT2812D, AT2812F, ATO3112D, ATO3112F, ATO3512D and ATO3512F are equiped with the reinforced gear shift system as standard.The reinforcements concern:• Split synchronizer• Main gear dog clutches• Countershaft brake

TRAP-HD is suitable for vehicles with high and very high level of speed changes and or gear changes.

As a result the Volvo FM and Volvo FMX with I-Shift gearboxes will be available for working in road conditions Very rough (RC-VROUG) and/or in topography Very hilly (T-VHILLY).

TRAP-HD for manual geraboxTRAP-HD for manual gerarbox is a heavy-duty nodular iron range housing used in operations where more than 5 % driving in low range is performed. It is intended for transportations with high gross combination weights operating in topographies Hilly (T-HILLY) and Very hilly (T-VHILLY).

Typical operations are mining and dam-building where transmis-sion oil cooler normally is needed. The range housing is available on 4x4, 6x4, 6x6 and 8x4 leaf suspended rear axle installations with hub reduction.
