• I like that it looks weathered/ old.

• I like that he paints animals on the collage.

• I really like the repetition and variety of the one with the birds.

• I like that he cuts shapes out of magazine pages.

Find an artist:

He creates collages, shadowboxes, art decor, sculpture, paintings, rescued wood assemblages and more. Dolan infuses his work with his unique perspective of the world. He is a southern boy living in the big city of Chicago and his work is in large part based on this dichotomy, themes of both nature and contemporary life can be found throughout his work.

alternate paint technique in order to use the layering process in their mixed media experimentation.

DRILL:

1. On the half sheet of paper write why you are taking art.

2. Draw/ doodle on the sheet, make it artsy.

3. Yours may be chosen to go out in the hall on display.

Bring in styrofoam.Take out boxes from a restaurant (clean)Lunch trays from the cafeteria – just wash it

off. From vegetables… meat (kind of yucky)

Bring in Cardboard boxes for stencils like cereal boxes.
