Dressed for Success!
3rd Annual Back to School Night Starting a new school year can bring significant
expenses to all families, particularly to those who
are financially strained. In an effort to help the
families in our Foundation 3 and The 70/30 Project
programs send their children to school prepared for
success, BCM created the Back to School Night
event.
This year, BCM
hosted its third annual
Back to School Night
on Thursday, July
23rd at Buckhead THRIFTique! Thanks to
our generous donors, the children that
participated in the event received clothing
and shoes purchased specifically in their
sizes and style preferences. While at
Buckhead THRIFTique, volunteers assisted
the children and their families with picking
up their clothes and trying on their new
outfits.
At the end of the night, every child left with
big smiles on their face and excited to go
back to school.
Thank you to all of the donors and volunteers that supported the event!
Emergency
Assistance Reminders
Summer Hours End September 9th:
BCM will resume its normal Client
Service hours beginning Wednesday,
September 9th. Please let clients know
that our office will be open from 1pm
and 4pm for services.
Intake Volunteers Needed: We are
actively recruiting volunteers to help
with intake on Thursday afternoons (1pm
to 4pm) and evenings (4pm to 7pm). If
you are available or know someone that
would be a good fit, please email or call
Tiffany!
Intake Volunteers: Help us get ready
for our new client database by ensuring
all information is filled out correctly and
completely on the client intake forms.
Intake Volunteers: Please remind
clients with a financial pledge that BCM
will verify all documents if received
before the expiration date before
approving the pledge. Once we verify
the pledge, we will process for payment
within 2 business days.
Intake Volunteers: In an effort to
protect the privacy and confidentiality of
our clients, please remember to only use
their first or last name when calling
someone back to the intake rooms. Full
names should not be used in the lobby or
with other volunteers.
Food Pantry Volunteers: When sorting
incoming donations, please remember
to check the expiration date and
packaging before adding to the shelf. If
an item is expired or opened, please
discard in the trash.

CONGRATULATIONS,
BARBARA CHANDLER & JULIANN HUNTER
Barbara and Juliann serve as our Bread Delivery volunteers.
Every Monday they pick-up donated bread from Publix and then

The donated bread is placed in our lobby and given out to
families that receive groceries.
Thank you for all that you do, Barbara and Julie!

Month by emailing your nomination to Tiffany at
