ClearStar

A phrase most of us have used over the years is “There is nothing new under the sun.” Not only is this a Biblical truth (Eccl 1:9), but it is a phrase that often applies to ClearStar Security Network (CSN). If you are looking for something unfamiliar to you, there is no doubt some-one on ClearStar who has had the exact issue. Having resolved it, they have probably shared it on CSN. A simple archive look-up on the site will miraculously have it reappear for your benefit. Kelvin Heath will be sharing some new things of interest about ClearStar at the April meeting. Kelvin shared some business advice he found useful on ClearStar at the last meeting.

Not-So-Common-Keyblanks

Last month we discussed the history of Ford automotive dash ignition locks, and how it morphed into the column lock. We talked about the different generations of key bow styles. Everyone who wanted samples walked away with their historic 5-Pin Ford ignition blanks in various bow styles. In April we will explore another Not-So Common keyblank.

LSA Dinner Sponsor The LSA appreciates whenever our Members, Associates or Friends sponsor our meeting dinners. If you or the company you represent wish to take on a month of goodies for the LSA, just let us know. We can make it effortless and we will do all the work. FCL

The Fellowship of Christian Locksmiths (FCL) thanks those who participated in the recent service project. There are a few pictures on the FCL Facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/pg/fclusa/photos/?ref=page_internal. The FCL was able to rekey an entire church facility, add some security, do some repairs, and update for a few compliance issues, all in the course of one Saturday morning. In addition to those who participated in physically doing the work, a heartfelt gratitude goes out to the companies that rendered their support in product: LAB Security, IDN Hardware Sales, Anixter Clark, and Kustom Key. Those wishing to remain informed of upcoming service projects feel free to send your email address to John Hubel at [email protected]. https://
