Well, last month the weather was just a bit too much for me to make the drive. I am pretty sure that the drive down would have been OK. The drive back, not so much. I heard that there is a few others who also could not make it. As much as I would like to say I will see you all at the next meeting, I know that life happens, and yes, sometimes weather happens. If you can show up, great. If not, I get it. My wife and I went to a comedy show last week about a mile from my house, and yes, some of the people arrived on snowmobiles. So for those of you that can’t wait for winter to be over, that is crazy talk I tell you, crazy talk. And besides that, the ice fishing is awful in the sum-mer time. Now, if I can only figure out a way to mount my key machine on the back of my snow-mobile. Some of you showed a desire to have a certain lesson or topic covered. If we have not cov-ered it yet, then the next time you see me remind me of what it is you would like to see. No prom-ises but I will do my best to try to make it happen. Also, don’t forget that the last part of the meet-ing will be sharing what you have learned or new tricks that others might not know. I had a job the other day installing an alarm lock trilogy. The lever was not functioning cor-rectly. So, what did I do? Well, I got on ClearStar and posted the question. There were several re-plies of different things that might be the culprit. I am going back tomorrow to give it another try. The point I am trying to make is there are a lot of resources available. Using ClearStar or calling other LSA members whose field of expertise is in that specific area, is out there. Nobody knows everything. I use these resources when I get stuck, you should too. See you at our next meeting,

Interchangeable Core Specialist
“The Key Trap Core”
The key trap core is a ‘use once only’ SFIC that can be used to capture a rogue key. When any key is inserted and turned, the bottom pins will catch in the small recesses on the plug top located to the left & right of the standard tumbler holes. This will cause the rotated plug to permanently lock into place. Drilling is then necessary to remove the core & key.
