Members of Team Wolver-ines were recently featured on the CW23 morning talk show, Winging It! Buffalo Style. Students were able to demonstrate their award-winning robot and explain the science behind the crea-tion. Great job, Team Wol-verines! Keep showing that BASCS Pride!

BASCS hosted its first an-nual M³ Math Contest on March 15th. Nearly a dozen schools in Erie and Niagara Counties were represented by 40 middle school con-testants. Students compet-ed for iPads and medals in a two-round competition: pa-per-and-pencil followed by hands-on activity.
FESTIVITIES FOR PI DAY BASCS students and staff celebrated
March 14th as π Day! Activities included a pie-eating contest during every lunch period, a pie-throwing contest—where teachers were the target! - and recitation
of the digits of π. Great fun was had by all!!!
Annual Science Fair was a huge success as over 50 students were able to display their projects and enter to win the big prizes. A Guest Judges’ Panel had a difficult time determining winners, as the projects were put together so excellently! Congratula-tions to all of the students who participat-ed and the Science Department for work-ing so hard to make the Fair another great BASCS event!
Congratulations to Robotics Team Wolverines for all of their recent competitive vic-tories, which have earned them recognition by the entire Erie County Legislature and the NYS Senate as well as many local politicians and stakeholders.
