Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, Crusselle Freeman Church of the Deaf recently celebrated 115th years of serving our Lord. In 1902, a group of deaf people got together and set up a church that LOVE built. Today the same LOVE can be found and shared by the members. The same God that they felt in 1902 who lead them into the presence of His LOVE can be found today at Crusselle Freeman. NEW RESOLUTIONS FOR 2018: By Pete Miller The Christian’s first priority should be making time or more time to read and study the Word of God. This may necessitate getting up an hour earlier, or maybe less TV time. One will always make time for whatever or whoever is loved. Jesus said, “You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” (Matthew 22:37-39) This is a good place to start for any believer. Goals set in this light would include spending more time in personal devotion to God, Bible reading and time in prayer. This time is usually best first thing in the day, before all the demands and activities of daily life make quiet time with God impossible. Other resolutions might include memorizing verses of Scripture, perhaps one a day or one a week. Pick positive and encouraging passages, and inspirational promises of God. Prayer time should be purposeful, perhaps with a list of people or situations that need prayer. One might even have a prayer journal, jotting down how and when God answers the prayers.

The currently members need to know our Lord Jesus Christ. Why? In the beginning and at the end of our lives will be recorded and we will not be found in history books. In our time, we are given choices of one life and two decisions after it. Will our names be found in the Book of Life? Be still and know that I am God. It does not say look at the clock or the calendar. It does not say, “Are you a member of Crusselle Freeman? What is the opposite of “Be Still”? It means stay busy and not know God. We do not want to wish for this! In the Year of our Lord 2018, let Crusselle Freeman move into the future based on the same LOVE that was in the past, it is here today, and can be found tomorrow. May God Bless Crusselle Freeman and may the same LOVE that built this church continue to vibrate and echo itself into 116 years.

May God bless the members and visitors. Please bring your LOVE, share it, and take some home with you.

Pastor Frank

I Said a Prayer For You Today I said a prayer for you today And know God must have heard. I felt the answer in my heart Although He spoke no word! I didn’t ask for wealth or fame (I knew you wouldn’t mind) I ask Him to send treasures Of a far more lasting kind! I ask that He’d be near you At the start of each new day to grant you health and blessings And friends to share your way! I asked for happiness for you in all things great and small But it was for His loving care I prayed for most of all.
