RAMBLIN REPORT Happenings Thank you very much to Rich Gavin for being the reporter for the month. The campout was held February 8-10 at Twin Oaks in Hoboken, GA with early bird on the 7th. The campout was attended by 4 rigs; Rich Gavin, Ken and Kath Cody, Rich Frederick, and Ken and Sherrie Risberg. We hope everyone who was sick is recovering and those traveling had safe travels. Rich Gavin arrived on Monday and was greeted by the owner’s daughter and the cows. He enjoyed the peace and quiet of this country campground. Thurs- day brought Ken and Kath, Ken and Sherrie and Rich. We enjoyed sitting in the shade and catching up. Sherrie was crocheting blankets for Project Linus to be delivered in March at the GA rally. Rich F. had dropped Pam at the airport on his way to camp. She was off to Australia and a 36 hour trip to get there. Rich is looking forward to joining her in March. We decided to have spaghetti in place of the soup Friday night. We had supper on our own and then gathered at the building for a game of Progressive Rummy. Ken R. had the lead for a long time but finally was passed by Sherrie for the win. Friday morning dawned a beautiful day and we enjoyed being lazy. Kath slept in and then took Bailey for a long walk. Ken R. took Ellie and Lucky in a dif- ferent directions. Sherrie put on the spaghetti sauce in the building and then set up her sewing machine outside the rig. Everyone gathered to visit while she worked on Boggy Creek bears. Rich and Rich then headed out to Walmart for supplies and fuel. The sewing and visiting carried us thru until it was time for supper. We gathered for spaghetti, garlic knots and dessert. It was great to gather for dinner and have everyone be able to hear and enjoy the time togeth- er. Rich G. and Rich F. wanted to play Joker so that is what we did. Ken and Kath played for the first time and really enjoyed the game. The team of Kath, Rich F. and Sherrie won both games played. Saturday morning brought another perfect winter morning. Just enough of a breeze to keep the gnats away and warm enough to be happy outside. Kath was bit by the cleaning bug and worked inside their 5th wheel. Ken C. enjoyed sitting outside in his chair watching the world go by and was playing solitaire. Ken R. was sitting outside enjoying the weather with a good book. Later Rich G. drove his truck over to Ken R.’s car to unload his food for the food bank. Rich F. brought his over too. Joker was suggested and we headed to the build- ing a short time later to play. We took a break for lunch and then went back to play some more. Rich, Rich, Ken C. and Kath were getting better and better with what card did what and were really enjoying the game. Soon it was time to quit to fix food for the potluck. Everything was delicious and we sat and talked for a long time after we were done. Eventually someone said Joker? so after a quick put up of dishes and dog walking we gathered for the final time. Camping Tips

A propane furnace can use a lot of propane, once it has taken off the chill switch to a portable elec-tric heater to maintain a comfortable temperature for a considerable amount of time.

We have four newly addicted players of Joker in the chapter. Ken C. even traced the board to be able to go home and make one. Sunday morning we took our time. Ken and Kath headed out first by truck on-ly, they will be back on Wednesday to camp again with their other chapter. Rich G. was next followed by Ken and Sherrie. Rich F. was the last to pull out. We are all looking forward to the next campout in Lake Park, GA. We did not hold a meeting however, Rich Gavin wagon master has made ar-rangements for December for Jenny Ridge with a date change to December 6-8, 2019. Please be sure to make your reservations for each campout as soon as possible-it helps the campground know how many of us are planning on com-ing and keeps us from losing our reservation as a chapter. Thank you for the great support of the monthly food bank collection. Please continue to pray for each other-that’s what helps bind us together as a chapter family.

PLEASE LET US KNOW IF YOU ARE OR ARE NOT COMING TO ALL CAMPOUTS. Please send Rich Gavin, wagon master and Pat Dean, presi-dent, an email, or make a phone call with your plans. Communication is im-portant. Campgrounds ask questions, people get worried when you don’t come at your normal time. Their email addresses and telephone numbers are on the front page. Thanks for your cooperation in letting them know your plans. Campouts are held Friday-Sunday with early birds on Thursday or earlier if desired. Please try very hard to make your reservations at least 30 days in ad-vance.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Pretzel Hearts

Ingredients pretzels (large or mini) creamy peanut butter white, pink, or red melting choc-olate sprinkles (optional) 1. Line a plate or small baking sheet (small enough to fit in your fridge or freezer) with wax or parchment paper. 2. Smear some peanut butter on each pret-zel, using a knife or the back of a spoon to smooth it out. Place in a single layer on prepared plate/baking sheet and transfer to fridge or freezer while you melt the chocolate. 3. Place chocolate in a microwave safe bowl (if using multiple colors, use a different bowl for each color). Microwave on half pow-er for 1 minute. Stir, return to microwave for 20 seconds at a time stirring after each, until completely melted and smooth. 4. Remove pretzels from fridge or freezer. Hold one corner of a pretzel and dip into chocolate, then lay flat on your baking sheet. Top with sprinkles if de-sired, and repeat process with remaining pretzels. Allow to cool completely
