Dear Members and Readers,I was listening to the address of our Prime Minister to our countrymen in Dubai. The one thing, that struck me was, how he was addressing their aspirations and needs. His call 'Make in India' to that gathering was a very important vision for all of us Indians. To harness our potential, we need to think creatively and work with a determined focus. We start with a vision and end up executing it. For instance, as businessmen and entrepreneurs, our community is known for its ability to take up challenging assignments and win. We have enormous potential for creative thinking, the issue is: we need to add a pinch of entrepreneurship, to take our community towards success. Ask yourselves, what you would you like to do and work towards doing it.
Institutions like the Rotary, Lions, Jaycees are worldwide organisations which are constantly striving to make life more meaningful to the down trodden. Each organisation has developed its own code of ethics and a culture of contribution. We at AVOPA also have our own code of ethics and a culture of contribution to the society. I appeal to all our members to think and contribute for making AVOPA a well known name in our society.
We have celebrated Independence Day with pomp and ceremony. Across the country the feeling was – we have to do more and we are lagging behind. Almost sixty percent of our population is less than thirty five years, we are one of the youngest and the biggest country of the world. Let us work towards a country which is cynosure of the world. We at AVOPA will facilitate the community in working towards this.
It is very heartening and a moment of pride to inform all of you that AVOPA has launched ID cards in the month of August and ID cards of all those who have given the application and photograph are ready. I request all the members to collect the same in AVOPA office. I request the remaining members to submit their filled applications at the AVOPA office at the earliest in order to facilitate printing of their ID cards as well.
This month, AVOPA conducted a monthly lecture programme on “Adulteration” delivered by Dr. Thandava Murthy. He also clearly demonstrated to the audience on how to check if the product is adulterated. The programme was a grand success with very enthusiastic participation from the members.
I also take this opportunity to remind all the members that we will have the Annual General Meeting of AVOPA on 6th September 2015 at AVOPA office. I request the members to attend the same.
My greetings to all of you and your family, for the Varamahalakshmi Vratam, Swarnagowri Vratam and Ganesha Chaturthi. May Ganesha bless all of us.
With Warm Regards,
