very pleased with their efforts and are happy to show them off.

Student Absence: Thank you to those families who have sent back absentee notes, however

“family reasons” is not acccepted by the Department. This meaning your child will still have an unexplained absence against their name. We are unable to change this as it is all computer generated.

The following are examples of acceptable reasons for student absence: sick, school business (for example: representing the school at a sports carnival), and leave (requires the Principal’s approval). Standard Department of Education explanation clarification notes will be sent home within 5 days of an unexplained absence. The current notes being sent home will include the last 7 weeks. If you would like to discuss any of this, please feel free to contact the school.

Small Schools Camp to Myuna Bay: Thank you to those parents who have already gone

online to complete their child’s medical forms and other information. For those who have not, could you please go the link below and do this as soon as possible.

Parent Teacher Interviews: Teachers are available on Tuesday 9 April from 3.15pm for

interviews. Parents are encouraged to come along and speak to your child’s teacher. Please send a Dojo

message to your child's teacher or ring school to book an appointment.

Primary: Class: Recently Primary students conducted a Coding experiment using marshmallows.

This was to show the importance of learning resilience and improvement through failure. Looks like a

fun activity, I’m not sure how many marshmallows got eaten in the process.
