The Sir Arthur Conan Doyle Centre is happy to welcome Gordon Smith back to The Centre. And we are delighted to announce that Gordon and his team have chosen The Sir Arthur Conan Doyle Centre as their Scottish Venue for Gordon Smith’s

College of Intuitive Studies!

Gordon is hailed as “Britain’s most accurate Medium” and has featured in numerous TV documentaries including BBC’s Everyman series, as well as appearing as an expert guest on This Morning, Richard & Judy and Heaven & Earth. He has travelled throughout the world demonstrating his

mediumship and given private readings to many celebrities. So, we are delighted that he has chosen The Sir Arthur Conan Doyle Centre as his ‘Centre of Excellence’ where he and his Assistant Tutor, Steven Levett will provide the opportunity for students to enjoy a more personal, atten-tive experience in their work-shops.

audience will experience a closer look at Scotland’s great-est ambassador of Mediumship and exponent of his craft!

Welcome to our Summer edition of our What’s On Brochures and we’ve got some exciting things coming up. On 20th July NHK, the National Japanese TV Broadcasting Company are here to film The Tony Stockwell and James Van Praagh Demonstration. They are an in-house production team filming a documentary. So, if you’re lucky enough to have tickets for this sell-out Demonstration—you could also be appearing on Japanese TV! On 21st Sept, Gary Manion, also of TV fame, will be demonstrating Psychic Surgery.

Gary appeared on a Channel 4 documentary where some amazing results were witnessed! We are of course a Venue for The Edinburgh Inter-national Festival Fringe—see what’s on, on our back page! And, we are formulating an exciting Autumn Programme for our Psychic Investigation Unit. They are working on venues for vigils in haunted places, old-fashioned séances as well as demonstrations and experiments. The first event is at Cousland on 16th August—your chance to be part of the investigating team!

Paul Jacobs was tutored by Gordon Higginson who was not just President of his local church but also President of the Spiritualists' National Union, Principle of the Arthur Findlay College and one of the finest all round mediums of the 20th century. Gordon became a personal friend and mentor teaching Paul to not only recognise but also to unfold his latent mediumistic gifts. Paul's first public demonstration came in 1990 after 7 years of intensive development under the guidance of Gordon and Martin Young.

Paul has an enviable reputation as an international teaching medium. His work has taken him to Finland, Sweden, Switzerland, Italy, Holland, Germany and the USA. Paul's main interest today is the training of tomorrows mediums. To this end he has set up his own school for mediums, this is based in Amsterdam, Holland, but he is here, at The Sir Arthur Conan Doyle Centre for a weekend course.

This is a one day workshop which explores an indepth translation of power; a breakdown of the human aura; and an understanding your soul-ray colour. Judith Seaman Trance & Physical Mediumship 21 & 22 Sept Judith has an impressive pedigree, as well as a former President of the SNU, she has held the offices of Vice-President (Spiritual) of the SNU, former Director of Psychic Press and former Principle of the Arthur Findlay College. The Trance and Physical Course will look at the development of Trance mediumship, and assess potential for physical mediumship with the students. It includes the use of practices for the students to experience and use afterwards in their own circles which will help in the development of either of these aspects of mediumship. Students will be able to work with Trance Mediumship for both Healing and Communication, and the course will also consider the purpose and possible different uses of Trance Mediumship."

As well as tutoring healing at the Arthur Findlay College during SNU Healing Weeks, she has developed various aspects of mediumship including the deeper states of spirit control and has continued to develop Altered State Healing, sometimes called Trance Healing, as well as Cain Healing. Again, by popular demand, Thelma has returned to The Centre with her very successful, Mediumship Masterclass.

She has entitled this session, Perfecting The Message, and these blocks of classes are designed for those Mediums who are conducting Private Sittings, and who are demonstrating on the platform.

This is a session of 6 classes @ £10 per night or £50 for the block when purchased in advance.

Things You Can do When You’re Dead! by Tricia Robertson is the long awaited book from one of Scot-land’s foremost psychical researchers. In this book the author shares some of her thirty-year research into mediumship, reincarnation, psychic healing, apparitions, poltergeists, and after death communica-tions. Coming Soon: A visit to Cousland, near Dalkeith. This is a small village in Midlothian where local residents have reported strange happenings. There are Limestone Caves in the village, a Blacksmiths and a Chapel where it is reported that Mary Queen of Scots stayed. For our Autumn Programme, there will be vigils organised in haunted places. Two such places that are keen to have us investigate are a haunted Castle in The Borders, and a haunted hotel in Mid-Lothian. Also, we Plan to have experimental evenings of Tarot, Flower Sentience, Tea leaves, Hypnosis and Ribbons. We also plan to conduct some old-fashioned séances in blackout conditions—all as forms of experiment to assess what evi-dence we can find for psy—or paranormal phenomena!
