Thoughts for the Month from Tom:
December Annual Holiday Party at Steak-
house 100 Well Attended This year's Holiday Party had almost 70 at-tendees which was the largest recorded at-
tendance for this annual event in years. Over 10 giveaways were distributed throughout the
night with each gift accented by the jingling of holiday bells complemented by reports from individual board members on their current and
future club activities. Giveaways included lift tickets, bike & ski equipment, bike & ski tune-
ups, on-site drink tickets (Jim Reilly) and gift certificates from various vendors/ski hills. We all applaud Jim Reilly for his extensive and de-
tailed work in organizing this event.
January Monthly Meeting on January 20th Location is Miller Park
The club's next monthly meeting is on the evening of Friday, January 20th at TGIF Fri-day's party room. Jim Reilly researched meet-
ing sites and this location, besides the unique viewing experience of overlooking the Milwau-
kee Brewers baseball field covered in snow, offered a reasonable cost within a pleasant en-vironment for our Friday night monthly gather-
ings. February and March's Monthly Meetings will also be located there too.
Membership Numbers Surpasses Bench-mark
Our mid-December membership level of 239 surpassed the benchmark last seen shortly be-
fore the beginning of summer 2016. Our cur-rent membership does not include any addi-tional members that should join as result of
Winter ski activities and upcoming promotional efforts. Membership dues supports our news-
letter production and monthly meetings (Annual Holiday Party included) so a Sitzmark member's annual dues definitely gets returned
back to them in some fashion. We invite all past members, who have yet to join in 2016-
17 to do so because it really does make a dif-ference!
Congratulations/Appreciation We wish to acknowledge the efforts of club
members in organizing December club-sponsored events including the December 2nd Holiday Party at Steakhouse 100 (Jim Reilly),
Santa Cycle Rampage December 3rd (Ann
Kammerer), Victorian High Tea on December 4th at 1pm at the Schuster Mansion (Mike
Mueller & Audrey Wissmann), and a December Birthday Meet-Me-at on December 7th at Waukesha's The Neighbors Bar & Grill (Audrey
Wissmann). Being the ski season, we certainly appreciate the successful efforts to organize
the December 10-14 Vail Trip (Marc Pettit, Mark Harris and Dave Wherry), a December 24th Meet up at Wilmot (Jeff Borchardt) and
the New Year's Weekend Marquette Mountain Trip (Jeff Borchardt). We also appreciate the
ongoing weekly Packer Parties (Tom & Jean Bronson, Tom Augustine & Janice Wachs) held throughout the pro football season and upcom-
ing playoffs at the Aris Sports Bar. To follow up the regular season and upcoming playoffs, Jeff
Borchardt has generously scheduled on Febru-ary 5th the annual Super Bowl Party in his
condo's community room. We look forward to seeing club members participating in the up-coming social events in January including the
January 5th Birthday Meet-Me-At Jimmy's Is-land Bar & Grill (Lyle Strahota), and a January
22nd Birthday Sunday Brunch at the Machine Shed (Rob Hermann). Scheduled upcoming club-sponsored ski activities in January in-
cludes the Northern Trip January 14 -15 to Ty-rol Basin Devils Head (Jeff Borchardt) and the
Western Trip January 29th - February 5th to Park City (Dave Wherry).
I again welcome all suggestions and really ap-preciate the dedicated Sitzmark Board Mem-
bers, Directors and volunteers we have that are contributing to the continuing
success of our club.

We need Sitzmarks to voice their opinions!
As Past President, one of my duties is to
assist the Board of Directors by providing direction for the operation of the Club. One
of the ways to do this is through the Steer-
ing Committee. We are looking for long-time members, new active club members,
past board officers/directors and current board officers/directors to be part of the
committee.
One topic that has come up consistently over the years is the definition of a couple
membership and whether it should be ex-
panded to include non married and/or
same sex relationships.
We are also looking for other topics that the Steering Committee could discuss.
Please email or call me of your interest to participate or suggest a topic. Some topics
may only need us to meet once or twice to discuss.

of the Steering Committee

New Meeting Location for the Next 3 months!
TGI Friday's @ Miller Park Miller Park One Brewers Way Mil-waukee, WI Friday January 20 We're renting their Brew Room Suite for consecutive monthly meetings. They have a daily happy hour from 4 pm to 6 pm, so come early for drink and food specials. If turnout exceeds the room capaci-ty, we will occupy additional space just outside the room. Can't make it early? Come for the light appetizers we'll have in the
room (while they last), or order something from their diverse menu, and enjoy the ballpark am-biance in Winter. Megan and I stopped in recently for dinner one snowy Friday night. She had the Jack Daniels Grill ribs & shrimp combo and I had the flat iron steak with a zesty lobster top-ping. Both were very good, and my steak came cooked just like I or-dered. Each came with 2 sides, which is typical for most of their entrees. After the room opens at 6 PM, be sure to order additional food and beverages from the Brew Room wait staff to ensure we get credit towards our food/beverage mini-mum purchase.
Schedule 6:00 PM - Room Opens

since he's likely to buy back the
unused cans.

but we should be set up by 3 pm if
you want to start partying early.
