The iJAG program helps students discov-er their individual tal-ents, develop skills, and seize opportunities to achieve their personal potential.

Valentine Celebration on Friday
Local Comedian and avid Hawkeye fan, Bobby Ray Bunch entertained Rotarians and guests for the unique program. Bobby is from the Quad Cities and entertains at other local establishments. For his schedule go to www.bobbyraybunch.com. Bobby had something funny to say about most of the cities in the Quad City area.
President-Elect Jeremy Kaiser (r) and Past District Governor Bill Tubbs (l), with District-Governor-Elect Erna Morain of Waukee, represented North Scott Rotary at the Feb. 16 Grant Management Semi-nar at the West Liberty Community Cen-ter. Purpose of the Seminar, which was attended by 35 Rotarians from 17 clubs, was to provide required training for clubs to be eligible to participate in Rotary Foundation Community Grants and Glob-al Grants.
The iJAG program helps students discover their individual talents, develop skills, and seize opportunities to achieve their personal potential. Our iJAG program is operated as a "for-credit" elective course during the regular school day. Our iJAG specialist, Bridget Frisk works with students in areas of leadership, employment and, in some cases, academic support. The objective of the iJAG program is to provide students with classroom and work-based learning experiences that result in training or education in a career after graduation. Bridget Frisk is currently an 11th & 12th Grade iJAG Education Specialist at North Scott High School. Prior to teaching with iJAG, she worked with in the Adult Basic Education department at Scott Community College. While her formal education is all business, Bridget has dedicated her career to adult learners and is now bringing experience to young adults through iJAG.

Dr. Diane Papke Cole has been proposed for membership by Bill Tubbs. She is a Doctor of Optometry and recently retired from Advanced Eyecare in Eldridge.
Jason Happel has been proposed for membership by Scott Case. He is the Senior Account Executive for KLJB Fox 18. Jason and his wife Sara attended the Tryke Build at HDC.
D. Brian Williams has requested a transfer of Rotary Clubs, as he wishes to rejoin us at North Scott. Brian has been a mem-ber of Illinois Quad Cities Club for the past year.
All three were discussed at the February Board meeting and have received the approval of the board and the classification committee.

LAST WEEK – February 15, 2019 – Valentine Celebration with Bobby Ray Bunch, Comedian
The Social Committee, chaired by Josie Seymour and Lori Rochau planned an awesome Valentine lunch, complete with cupcakes, flowers and chocolates. Ninety-nine attended, which included Roger Killion, Davenport Rotarian, 62 members, 32 spouses and 4 students.
Jeff Ashcraft thanked the members who helped with the Tryke build. Greg Schaapveld encouraged members to attend the Quad City Storm Hockey game. Brad Burt was the sergeant and collected $62 in fines.
