VOL. 26 NO 15 APRIL 13, 2016 in 2016
FROM TIM… LISTENING TO JESUS – We’ve explored what Jesus said about Scripture and about hell, and this Sunday morning we will conclude this series by considering what Jesus said about hypocritical religion. Many people give up on Christianity because they see bad examples of it…is that the right answer? We will see what Jesus said, and I hope it will be an encouraging study. MARK YOUR CALENDARS – A few big congregation-wide events that will be coming up soon…
May 1st – Graduate Sunday – a day of honoring and praying for our graduates. The graduate video will be shown a few minutes after Sunday morning worship.
May 22nd - Bilingual Worship Service and Potluck Lunch. Our second bilingual service of the year – a great day to invite someone to join you – and a potluck lunch, which will also be a welcome meal for our new members.
June 5th-8th – Our 2016 Vacation Bible School, nightly Sunday through Wednesday. Believe it or not, some people are already working on the decorations! Always a great week of being together, studying the Bible, and meeting visitors.
OUR 2016 SUMMER SERIES – Last summer we had our 12 Questions outreach instead of a summer series, but this year we will resume our annual Wednesday night summer series. A cou-ple things to know:
The theme is “12 More Questions: Faith Questions from those Seeking God.” The full schedule is up on the sign-up board if you are interested in seeing the lineup. The summer series will begin June 15th. June 1st will be the last Wednesday in our
spring quarter, and June 8th will be our VBS week, so the Summer Series will run from June 15 through the last Wednesday in August.
Let’s live this week as those ready for Christ to return! Lord willing, we will see you again
Sunday morning, ready to worship and grow…

Great Oaks family, My whole family wants to
tell everyone how thankful we are for every-
thing that was done for us the last few months.
The food was excellent and really helped us
during those long Chemo days. We received so
many wonderful and inspirational cards it
made going through this difficult time seem
easier. We cannot say thank you enough for all
the calls, texts and gifts we've received and
each one helped us greatly! We've been blown
away at the love shown to us and are very
proud to be a part of a loving and generous
church family! Thank you from the bottom of
our hearts, Nathan, Kristin, Elijah, Alaina &
