 Voith Industria l Services is a qualified and acknow-

ledged partner in the construction of new storage tanks

and in maintaining and reconstructing existing storage

tanks made of steel.

Over decades, Voith Industrial Services has constructed tanks

for the oil and gas, petrochemical and chemical industries,

ranging in size from 175 m³ to 100,000 m³. We have also

carried out the design, construction and inspection of con-

ventional and double-walled tanks.

 Along with bui lding new tanks as an EPC contractor, we carry

out maintenance and reconstruction services for storage

tanks.

Tank Construction

(EN14015, API650, NFPA11 & 15)

We are capable of building new storage tanks, which are made

according to applicable standards:

• Consulting

• Erection (own hydraulic lifting equipment)

Materials: EN ISO, ASTM; carbon and stainless steel

 Through sub-suppliers we use and can offer:

Tank Refurbishment Services

(API653, EMMUA159, NFPA11 & 15)

Our services for storage tanks include all types of mechanicalmaintenance, modification and renovation services.

For example:

• Replacement of bottoms and annular plates

• Exchange of shell plates and replacement of entire new

  shell courses

• Replacement and/or repair of roof plates and fixed roof 

  structures

• Changing of seals for floating roofs

• Installation and repair of floating roofs

• Installation of new nozzles (as insert or reinforcement) or

  adaptor plates

• Installation of foam piping and sprinkler piping

Our many reference projects show that our expertise is com-

prehensive. Over the years we have built and renovated tanks

throughout Scandinavia, Greenland, the United Kingdom and

Eastern Europe.

EPC Contracts (design and construction)

• 80,000 m³ tanks with floating roofs, built for Statoil in

  Denmark 

• Two 7,500 m³ and two 6,000 m³ tanks with fixed roofs and

  inside floating roofs, built for Hydro Norway

• Three 60,000 m³ tanks with floating roofs, built for the

  World Bank in Lithuania

• Six 10,000 m³ tanks with floating roofs and an aluminum

  dome, built for VOPAK Gothenburg, Sweden

• A 40,000 m³ gas tank built inside a mountain at Halmstad

  Sweden, for LRC

Refurbishment/Maintenance Contracts

• New tank bottom for a 58 diameter tank, DONG oil  terminal, Denmark 

• Installation of foam system in five tanks, Oil Tanking

• New double-bottom 50,000 m³ tank, for DONG Energy
