    Parliamentarysleaze-busterstands for theBNP in Bexley

THE CHAMPION of exposing recentparliamentary sleaze, MichaelBarnbrook, is standing for the BritishNational Party in the ChristchurchWard By-Election for Bexley Councilon July 3rd.He was instrumental in securing theinvestigations into the nancial irregular-ities of three Members of Parliament andwas responsible for reporting Old BexleyConservative MP Derek Conway, to theParliamentary Commissioner for Stan-dards for his misappropriation of taxpay-ers money. He currently has three otherinvestigations on-going into Members ofParliament, relating to expense claims.Michael is very well qualied for theseinvestigations after spending 30 years

with the Metropolitan Police, four yearsof which were spent stationed at Bex-leyheath Police Station as an Inspec-tor.Now retired, he is married with two chil-dren and has six grandchildren.Right at the top of his list of issues thaturgently need addressing in Bexley isanti-social behaviour, knife crime andviolence in general. They are all on the increase in Bexley,Michael told Freedom. As a former police ofcer I believe itis time that we started to look after thelaw-abiding members of society andnot the criminals. We must ensure thatdecent people are able to go about theirbusiness without fear or harassment.

Report & Photo by Bob Gertner

RICHARD BarnbrookAM, made historywhen he attended theLondon Mayors openingquestion time session withthe new London Assembly.Journalists and the public

packed the gallery of thedebating chamber to wit-ness the event and heard therst ever British NationalParty representative make hismark by raising a number ofissues. The rst ofcial question to beasked in the London Assembly

    by an elected BNP member

concerned pensioners: Rich-ard asked:During the election cam-

paign you promised all retiredLondoners a 24 hour travelfreedom pass. When will this

pledge be honoured?Boris Johnson said it would belooked at when the new farereview took place next year.Richard also tackled theMayor of London on how the

ban on alcohol consumptionon public transport was to beenforced. He was on his feet again tosuggest that one way to tacklethe youth knife crime epidemic

in our capital was to channelteenagers aggression throughthe formation of new boxingacademies, an idea which theMayor said he supported.Richard also had the oor onthe housing issue and said thatthe planned Thames Gate-way development of 25,000homes to be built on Rainhammarches could be environ-mentally catastrophic as thearea was a natural ood plain.Richard Barnbrooks perfor-mance throughout the two hourmeeting was thoroughly pro-fessional and he was a credit tothe British National Party.

THE British National Party believesin telling the truth, even if it is

    sometimes uncomfortable to hear or

offensive to those who would ratherbury their heads in the sand thanface real problems in our society. But while we often pass quitecritical comment on the impact ofimmigration, multi-culturalism andalien religions on the indigenouspeople of our lands, we have noanimosity towards immigrants, theirdescendants or the followers of non-native religions.Nor do we intend to encourage othersto feel such animosity, or believe that

anything we have to say is likely to stirup hatred against anyone. In fact, webelieve that by providing a peaceful

and Constitutional outlet for the angerand the frustration felt by millions ofour people over the undemocratictransformation of our country by ourpolitical masters, the BNP actuallydefuses tensions.Where there is hate we seek to turnit into righteous anger and politicalaction against the only people whodeserve to be hated - the politicianswho use our taxes to turn our countryinto a place where we often feel likestrangers in our own land.

BRITISH National Party coun-cillors in Leicestershire havetaken on the Tories over a planningapplication the Conservative-runcouncil wanted to push throughwithout any public consultation. The proposed development is for a72 acre industrial and distributiondevelopment by UK Coal at the SouthLeicestershire Coal Disposal Pointoff Beveridge Lane in Ellistown. Thelargest unit would stand 58ft high andcover seven acres. The site would

require more than 800 vehicles a day,the most of them heavy lorries, andall using the already busy Mid-land and Whitehill Roads. The matter was rst due to go

before the planning committeeof North West LeicestershireDistrict Council despite therehaving been no public consulta-tion on the huge development,so BNP councillors GrahamPartner and Ian Meller, wentinto action and produced an

Ellistown Patriotnewsletterwhich informed local residentsof the Tory Councils intention.Ellistown does not need

this development, said the leaf-let. Think of the pollution and thenoise, 24 hours a day and seven daysa week. It wont contribute anythingto the community and will hit alreadyfalling house prices even further. The Tories tried to claim that the devel-opment would create hundreds of jobopportunities, but this was rejected

by the BNP councillors who said thatit wouldnt be local people that wereemployed but HGV agency drivers and

low paid migrant workers. The Tories were livid that their bestlaid plans had been exposed by theBritish National Party and theylaunched a bitter attack on the BNPcouncillors at a full council meetingduring a discussion about the newPlanning Committee proposals.Graham Partner toldFreedom:They verbally attacked the BNP inan attempt to justify their own cul-

pability in the planning decision. Wesat quietly, content in the knowledge

that right was on our side.Nothing the Tories said or will ever

say can cover up the fact thatthey did not wish the peopleof Ellistown to know about theapplication in question. Thescam was only exposed thanksto the BNP leaeting the area

before the planning meeting. With Labour in disarray acrossthe country it is being left to theBritish National Party to standup for the rights of ordinary

people against the big businessand the back-handers that sotypies the excesses of Cam-erons Conservative Party.

KEVIN Edwards, the BritishNational Party councillor onLlandybie Community Council inWest Wales won the plaudits ofhis fellow councillors at his very

rst council meeting.Llandybie Council had requesteda breakdown of how their localcounty representatives spent their5,000 personal allowance.Just one county councillor respondedand he said that his colleagues wereof the opinion that these were countycouncil funds, and nothing to dowith the community council.Llandybie community clerk MeganBevan, was worried it might be dis-courteous to insist the other coun-cillors revealed their expenses and itwas this suggestion that drew a sharpresponse from Kevin Edwards. Its a bit discourteous of them not

to send us a reply, he said. Aspublic servants they should make itclear where the money has gone. They are accountable to the peoplewho elected them - I, for one, would

certainly like to know where thismoney went.If the money has been spent legiti-mately, why dont they come for-ward and say so?Members agreed that the countycouncillors would be allowed moretime to respond. After the meetingKevin Edwards toldFreedom:It was nice that some of the coun-cillors who had shunned me andtried to keep me off committees atthe inaugural meeting said, welldone, as we were leaving. Hope-fully this means we can now startworking together for the good of thecommunity.

ONE-in-six voters in the Southsomerset town of Chard chosethe British National Party in acouncil by-election on 29th May.

Such was the shock at the BNP votethat Robert Baehr was featured onthe following Sundays BBC Poli-tics Show. He provided a contradic-tion the medias image of the British

National Party as young and bootedskinhead thugs and proved an excel-lent choice of candidate.Robert is a local organic grower andenvironmental campaigner dedicatedto promoting self-sufciency, theonly lifestyle that in years to comewill ensure the survival of the Brit-ish people. The Politics Show interviewed himand showed footage of Robert back

in the 1990s campaigning to savethirty tress on Yeovils WyndhamHill from council bulldozersThe BBC programme also revealedthat the Labour Party has admittedthat it did not stand a candidate inChard to ensure that the Liberal Dem-ocrat candidate beat Robert Baehr. But the word on the doorstep in thetown was that they did not stand forfear of being beaten by the BNP.

There was only evergoing to be the one

outcome to the KeithBrown murder trial

    by Martin Wingeld

OUR thoughts are with the familyof Keith Brown who conductedthemselves with such dignityduring the ordeal of the trial ofHabib Khan.Justice was not seen to be done, butthat was because the script for thistragic saga was written long ago andthere could only ever be one outcome.Despite this loss of life being caused

because of a dispute about property andboundaries, it was portrayed as some-thing completely different becausean astute defence council knew that

by introducing race and the BNP intothe equation it would give his client a

better chance of getting off.And get off he did, being found notguilty of murder but convicted ofmanslaughter. That in part might be

due to the medias cover-age with ridiculous head-lines such as BNP activist

fell on knife says Asianneighbour and reportsthat referred continuallyto Mr Brown as a BNPactivist and Mr Khan as aMuslim Elder. One of the nine British

    National Party council-

lors on Stoke City council, Michael

Coleman, summed up the feelings ofmany when he told journalists outsidethe court:If Keith had killed Khan in the samecircumstances I believe he would befacing years behind bars for murderand would not have got away withmanslaughter. The people of Stoke will give theirverdict on this miscarriage of jus-tice at the next round of elections inthe city. In the rest of the country, afew more eyes will be opened to theunequal society that we now live in- if you are White and British and indispute with someone from an ethnicminority, the odds will be stackedagainst you.But for Keith Browns family there is

just a terrible void that can never be

lled and the knowledgethat British Justice wroteoff the life of a father, ahusband and son as next toworthless just because hehad been a member of theBNP and had been killed

    by a Muslim elder.

    MICHAEL COLEMAN:Outside court.

ONE of the British NationalPartys Epping Forest districtcouncillors Pat Richardson, is tofeature in the Channel 4Dispatchesprogramme.During the television documentary, which attracts millions of viewers andis scheduled to be screened in July, shewill speak candidly about her attitudetowards Muslims living in Britain.Mrs Richardson, who was the BNPsrst Jewish councillor, was inter-viewed for the programme duringthe local election count at WalthamAbbey Town Hall in May, where shewas elected to represent the Lough-ton Broadway ward.Along with fellow BNP party mem-

bers, she was questioned about herviews on British Muslims by theshows producer James Jones.Pat told Freedom: He was very

polite and he followed us aroundthroughout the morning.I told him I think there are manymoderate Muslims living in Britain

just going about their day-to-daylives, but that they end up beingtreated with suspicion because of rad-ical Muslims who carry out attackswhich devastate peoples lives.Hopefully the programme will showme in a positive light but you neverknow how these things are going to

be edited - so we shall just have to

wait and see.Channel 4 Dispatches producerJames Jones, explained the reason-ing behind his decision to include theBNP councillor:I chose to interview Pat Richardsonas a subject because her backgroundand political views make her an inter-esting subject.Im hoping what were puttingtogether will make informative andentertaining television.

    Pat Richardsonmentioned in

C4 DispatchesAT 7.00am on Thursday May1st voters with polling cards

were being turned away froma polling station in the HigherBlackley ward in Manchester andtold that they were not entitled to

vote as they were not on the list. The polling station in question wasSt Clares which is in an area wherethe British National Party enjoys alarge amount of support so BNP can-didate Derek Adams, was quicklyadvised of the situation and went tothe station to investigate. He was told by an ofcial that mis-take had occurred and that some

people entitled to vote had beenrefused a ballot slip, but that the

problem had been rectied. While hewas there Derek saw the seal numberon the ballot box number 130.

During the count at Manchester TownHall, when the boxes were presentedfor opening, he noticed that Box No130 now had different seal numbers. The count was halted at his requestand an elections ofcial was calledwho admitted that the seals had

been broken because the lid hadbeen put on the box the wrong way.

She acknowledged that the box hadbeen illegally opened and the sealschanged without all the candidates, their agents or the police beinginformed.Even armed with this information,

the returning ofcer insisted thatnothing untoward had occurred andthat he was quite happy with the

box despite the fact that it had beentampered with. This is local elections Labour style, every bit as corrupt as their Govern-ment and councils, which cling on totheir gravy train at all costs. So the next time you hear an estab-lishment politician complainingabout the xed results of elections infar off lands , just remind them thatsuch abuses of democracy are taking

    place here as well.

THE Head of Democratic Ser-vices at Charnwood Council,David Dalby, was worried whenthe Leicester Mercury asked forinformation concerning council-lor attendance records for the year

just ending. He was concerned because the aver-age attendance for Charnwood coun-cillors was 22.4 meetings year. Hewarned the councillors:We have prepared the informationand Im concerned that the guresmight be misinterpreted to show

some councillors in a bad light.Lower than average attendance might

be through no fault of the councillor -for instance, illness and personal cir-cumstances may have caused them toattend less meetings.David Dalby might have been fret-ting about how the media might seethe attendance record of some Tory,Labour and Lib-Dem councillors, buthe had no such worries over CathyDuffy, the British National Partys solerepresentative on Charnwood Council. Her attendance record was exemplary -she was one of just 3councillors out of53 who had a 100% attendance record.

Cathy, who represents East Goscote.was pleased that her performance asa local councillor this year showedher leading the way by never missinga meetingThese gures do not include all theSub-Licensing Panels and Appeals &Review Panels that I have attended. Iam also a member of the Shared Ser-vices Members Reference Group andam on the Charnwood Area Forum. But the story never appeared in the

Leicester Mercury, and we all knowthe reason why. . . . it wouldnt dare

print a report that showed a BNPcouncillor working harder than coun-cillors from the other three parties.

Church Council cancels charity eventTHE Church Council has cancelledan annual church fund-raisingevent in Clarborough, near Basset-law because the organiser stood as aBritish National Party candidate atthe local elections in May.The BNPs David Otter has hosted the

popular village fund-raising barbecue athis Hayton home for the last 20 years, generating thousands of pounds formany local charities and the villages StPeters Church.

Hayton Churchs Rev Mark Cantrill, said the decision was made at a spe-cially convened meeting of the Paro-chial Church Council (PCC).The PCC noted Mr Otter had recentlystood as a British National Party can-didate, which raised the issue of therelationship between the policies of theBNP and Christian teaching.David Otter told the local newspaperthat he was surprised and disappointed

by the decision of the Church Council. DAVID OTTER: Surprised.

JULIAN Leppert, the BNPcouncillor for Hainault ward onRedbridge Council, has registereda formal complaint with theStandards Committee followinga serious breach of the MembersCode of Conduct by the councilsConservative leader Alan Weinberg. At a full council meeting he called theBritish National Party a Nazi Party. When Julian Leppert requested hewithdraw this remark and apologise,he not only refused to do so, butrepeated it - effectively calling theBNP councillor a Nazi.

Julian said that Weinbergs name-calling was insulting to the manyBritish Jews and WW2 veterans livingin Hainault who are BNP members, supporters and voters and as theirelected representative he could notlet his words go unchallenged.Im asking the Standards Committeeto reprimand Alan Weinberg and forhim to fully retract and apologise forhis Nazi slur against both myselfand the BNP, Julian toldFreedom.

WHEN the RSPCA ofce inChippenham Road in HaroldHill was closed, local residentsturned to the British NationalParty to ask for help.A deputation approached MarkLogan, the BNP councillor forGooshays ward on Havering Council, and asked him if he could do anythingto get the ofce opened again. He contacted the newly appointedChief Executive of the RSPCA, Mark

Watts, to nd out the exact reasonsbehind the closure:I wrote to Mr Watts and GregoryBrown, the RSPCA BranchDevelopment Advisor for the SouthEast, and got a prompt response,Mark toldFreedom. It transpired that the branch was inurgent need of nance, the ofce had

become dilapidated and was in needof refurbishment.Since his election back in February,Mark has been busily engaged insetting up a Community ActionTeam. This is a group of volunteertradesmen - decorators, carpenters, electricians, plumbers, builders

BNP battles to keepRSPCA office open

and odd job men - who offer theirservices free of charge to Gooshaysresidents who need vital work done

but are unable to afford it.The Community Action Teamhasalready helped an elderly residentwith some minor construction works, and carried out a small refurbishmentfor another. Now the group hasagreed to help renovate the RSPCA

building for the charity. To help nance the project there was

the distribution of 10,000 BritishNational Party leaets in Harold Hillwith a full page highlighting to plightof the RSPCA ofce, and Mark has

been delighted with the responsefrom the public. Its looking promising, he said.Over 100 was raised on the rstday alone. Whilst the ofce is closedan audit is being conducted andonce that has been completed theupgrading work can start. Thanksto the British National Party, theRSPCA ofce in Chippenham Roadwill hopefully re-open again soon, and this time it will be on a muchrmer nancial footing.

    FRANK FIELD: Labour MP.

LABOUR MP Frank Field, is worried thatthe Labour Party is losing its core supportto the BNP.Writing in the Sunday Telegraph the Labour MPfor Birkenhead warned that politicians shouldntattempt to stie debate on immigration. The white English working class, and some

black Britons too, are voting against unlimitedimmigration by embracing the BNP.Voters are on the move. Once the BNP gets asizeable cut of the Labour working class vote itmay be impossible for a Labour Government tore-establish the status quo, he said.

    PAT RICHARDSON: Interviewed.

IT is immigration from the ThirdWorld that has caused Britainspopulation to swell so dramaticallyin recent years.

New research by the GovernmentsOfce for National Statisticsrevealed that between 1991 and 2006,2.3million immigrants arrived to live

permanently in Britain with the vastmajority of them coming from Africaand Asia.During the same period, around1.6million Britons left the country -emigrating in the main to Australia, the United States, Canada, NewZealand and Western Europe.Since 1997, 1.8million foreign-borneconomic migrants have also cometo Britain to look for work. The gures undermine theGovernments claim that the majorityof immigrants come from the newEU member states and that theyreturn home. The reality is that thosewho come are almost entirely fromThird World countries and they areunlikely to return home.

CHILD benet payments forPolish children living inPoland are costing the British tax-payer 33million a year.

Nearly 2million a month is beingsent back to 36,000 children stillliving in Poland, whose parents areliving and working in Britain.EU rules state that parents are ableto claim the payments if they haveworked in Britain for a year. The study also reveals that the numberof workers applying for the payouts -which amount to 977 a year for therst child and 652 for younger chil-dren - has nearly doubled in the past12 months.

MORE than 2,500 peoplehave been stabbed to deathon the streets of Britain since NewLabour came to power in 1997.In 2006, the last for which full sen-tencing statistics are available, 7,817

people were found guilty of carry-ing a knife but just 72 were givena prison sentence with the typicaloffender serving just eight weeks

behind bars. Of the remainder someescaped with a ne, others with a

community sentence but many ofthose caught in possession escapedwith just a caution. The Government refuses to releasegures with regard to the ethnicmake-up of those involved in knife

crime fuelling the suspicion thatimmigration is one of the main rea-sons for it spiraling out of control.Critics also suspect that Labourssoftly, softly approach to knife crimehas something to do with the ethnic

prole of those involved.Ministers have refused calls fromvictims groups for mandatory jailterms for those carrying a blade, arguing that there arent enough

prison places to accommodate thosethat would be jailed . . . and thatsbecause our prisons are full of

foreign criminals and that again isdue to immigration.

    FOR ordinary Britons, times are

hard because last year priceswent up 7% while pay went up just2.5%But the global super-rich, who Labourhas encouraged to ock to our shores, have never had it so good.According to the latest Rich List, thetop 1,000 richest people in the countrynow have more than 400billion

between them, up almost 53billionin the last year under Gordon Brownas Prime Minister. Since Labourcame to power the super-rich livingin Britain have just got richer, andthey have also got more foreign! When the Rich List was rst publishedin 1989, 7 of the top 10, and all thetop 3, were native Britons. Todayonly 3 of the top 10 richest were even

born here. Of the 75 billionaires who

live in Britain, 40 are foreigners. In 1989, HM The Queen was therichest person in Britain. Today shehas been replaced by Indian steeltycoon Lakshmi Mittal. The second richest man in Britain isChelsea owner Roman Abramovich, who saw his fortune increase from10.8bn to 11.7bn this year. Newentries in the top 10 include steel andmines magnate Alisher Usmanov -the largest shareholder in Arsenalfootball club - who comes in atnumber ve with 5.7bn. Abramovich

and Usmanov owe their wealth toplundering the people of the formerSoviet Union when the US-sponsoredYeltsin regime put their industry andresources up for grabs. The third richest, the Duke ofWestminster, is at least native tothese shores, though he owes hisfabulous 7 billion fortune not to anytalent or effort on his part but to thefact that his ancestors 200 years agoowned the elds on which Londonswest End was built. He can just sit

back and let the rent roll in.Times are harder for honest British

businessmen whose enterprise andhard work has actually benetted ourcountry and whose money has beenfairly earned. Virgin boss Sir RichardBranson, for example has seen hisnet worth fall by 400m to 2.7bnand has dropped nine places in thelist, down from 11th in 2007 to 20th

today. So whilst we struggle to meet soaringmortgage payments, food and fuel

bills on almost static income, its clearwhere our Governments prioritiesactually lie. The 11 years of Labourrule have been better for the super-rich than having a Tory Government

because it has neutered any oppositionfrom more traditional Labour MPs.The British National Party is theonly party left that still cares aboutordinary British working families. We dont want the global super-richcoming here to exploit our tax systemand we will conscate anyill-gottengains and extradite those facingcharges back to their own countries. Our Rich List will be made up ofhard-working British businessmenand innovators who have fairlyearned their money working forthe benet of the British people.

It will be British innovators& businessmen who top theRich List in our BNP Britain

us on every last policy. Like all the other democratic

political parties, the British National Party includes

some members who disagree with one or two poli-

the fastest growing political party in Britain today.

    What We Stand for

elections needs considerable funding and we are appealing for your helpas the BNP makes this vital push for power in order to save our country.

ANOTHER example of theEuropean Unions destructiveinterference in Britains affairsis the invasion of our waters byforeign shing boats. And to make matters worse theseFrench and Spanish intruders are

also catching sh which our ownshermen are banned from netting.Due to European quotas, Britishtrawlers are not allowed to sh formackerel and whiting, yet Frenchand Spanish boats can land thesesh, and do it quite legally under thequota system! To add insult to injury, they thenunload their catches at Whitby in

North Yorkshire, whilst the localshermen can only look on. A recentcatch by a French trawler includedover a ton of mackerel and 300 boxes

WHEN top British carmakerMG Rover was sold off to theChinese in July 2005, we warnedthat this meant the end of produc-tion at the Longbridge plant. We also said that promises from theChinese to the contrary were worth-less and the plan all along was to shipRover and MG production to theircheap labour plants at home and shutthe Midlands plants down.Rovers purchaser, Nanjing Automo-

bile Corporation, has now mergedwith Shanghai Automotive Indus-try Corporation (SAIC). When itunveiled its latest model it was acut-down clone of the Rover 55called the Roewe 55. The name is

because, when Ford sold MG Rover

to China, they kept the Rover namecopyright so they could sell it to Tatawith Jaguar and Land Rover. The Roewe, is a British design,

being made in China and there is noindication that any cars will ever bemade here. Indeed the Chinese havesold off much of the Longbridge

    plant going there arelooking increasinglyhollow.

It already owns51.9% of the Korean carmakerSsangyong, and is setting up a dealernetwork in Britain and Europe basedon the Ssangyong franchise to sellimported Chinese-made cars here, including, no doubt, Chinese madeMGs and Roewes. Its cheaper to build cars in China andship them to Britain and in the globalmarket it is only making a prot that

counts.SAIC dont care about British work-ers and their families in the WestMidlands and neither does thisLabour Government. It shouldnthave allowed MG Rover to have beensold off and should have brought it

Albania Bob rages atBNP in reply to local

health care queryTHE BNPs rst local electionresults in Derby have rattledthe Derby North Labour MP BobLuxton, who is known by manyof his constituents as Albania Bobfor his campaigning on behalf ofAlbanians both in Britain andback in their native country. In Allestree ward Glynn Cooper

polled 11% for the British NationalParty and in Chaddesden ward, PaulHilliard received a more than encour-

aging 654 votes which was 18% ofthe total votes cast. These results must have been play-ing on Bobs mind when he receiveda letter from one of his constituentsover problems he has been experi-encing trying to nd an NHS dentist.Unfortunately this chap happened tomention the healthcare received byillegal immigrants and that referenceset Albania Bob off. The MP rantedin his reply:

With regard to your suggestion thatyou would get better treatment if youarrived as an illegal immigrant, I ndthis assertion to be ridiculous. I amsorry that you have been led to your

beliefs by propaganda that is peddledby the disgraceful, fascist, racists ofthe BNP and it is for this reason thatthey are quite rightly shunned byevery respectful political party. The recipient was astonished by thereply he received, in part because hehad never mentioned the BNP in hisletter to the MP.Maybe he had just caught Bob at a

bad moment. Probably after he had just returned from a meeting of theAll-Party Albania Group at the

Houses of Commons where he iscampaigning for MPs to ratify theAlbania Stabilization and Associa-tion Agreement. At a meeting with Albanian dissidentsrecently the Derby North MP said hewas worried about freedom of speechin Albania because the media deniesopposition groups access (just likehere then - Ed) and that he wantedto see the creation of a pro-Albanianlobby in the British parliament withthe purpose of helping them improvethe image of Albania in the UK.

WESTMINSTER: Bob Luxton isnt meeting constituents from DerbyNorth, but Albanians worried about press freedom in Albania.

PRIVATE schools should benationalised. Thats accord-ing to the incoming President of

the biggest teaching union, theNational Union of Teachers, speak-ing to the NUTs National Confer-ence in Manchester.Bill Greenshields said:Lets consider bringing all schoolsinto the state sector, then we wouldsoon see some urgent improvementsin our state system. He was highly critical of the LabourGovernments policy of selling offcity schools as academies to big

businessmen, calling it privatisationof education by stealth.Even though the NUT is regarded

by many as a Marxist dinosaur, MrGreeneld has a point, up to a point.Currently private schools educatefewer than 7% of our children, butaccount for almost half the entrants

to Oxford and Cambridge. Partly because of social snobbery and theold school tie, but also becausethey have the money to provide ahigh standard of education, hiringthe top teachers in lavishly-equippedclassrooms. They also provide schol-arships to the brightest children fromless-well off families and have a farhigher standard of discipline in theclassroom.Such elite schools should be opento the best and brightest of all ourchildren, selected on merit rather

than because their rich parents canbuy their way in. They should be thetraining grounds for our top scien-tists, engineers and military ofcers. But the British National Party

believes that bringing in someschools at the top of our state systemand making them genuinely publicschools is only the start of what isneeded. We need to go back to the

basics of the 1944 Butler EducationAct and reform our failing educationsystem from the bottom up.Schools should be focussed on

preparing our children, from eachaccording to his or her abilities, toeach according to their needs, to servesociety and the nation. A society andnation that needs more electricians,

    plumbers, tters, engineers, chippies

and brickies, farmers and craftsmen, scientists and soldiers and doctorsand nurses. And fewer accountants, lawyers, City wide boys, bureaucrats, corporate apparatchiks and holders ofthird-class degrees in Media Stud-ies from the University of Luton.Technical and craft education needsto be massively resourced. It was theneglect of this vital component bysuccessive Labour and Tory Govern-ments that wrecked the original 1944educational vision.Schools for future workers by handneed as much support, and prestige,as those for future workers by brain.Children should be sorted and guidedover a period of several years towardthe type of education which will best

bring out their own unique talents, mental, physical, artistic or whateverand place them most effectively atthe service of the nation. The uniqueness of all of our childrenshould be celebrated and harnessed

to bring out in each of them theirown separate, personal, and essentialcontribution to the family and unityof the Nation.A contribution which they need tobe taught to value and take pridein. All Britons, doctor and dust-man, cyberneticist and carpenter, physicist and farm labourer, areneeded, working together to buildour nations future.

BRITISH National Party coun-cillors often have a difculttime in the council chamber withlittle or no help or support from therepresentatives of the other parties.BNP councillors know they haveto work extra hard to look after theinterests of their constituents becauseas they are not members of the Lab/Con/Lib-Dem Club, our opponentswill be doing everything they can tohinder their efforts. After a year in ofce our three coun-cillors in Leicestershire have a track

record to be proud of and one to putthe old gang parties to shame. The average attendance of our coun-cillors is 98.2% with our councillorin Charnwood, Cathy Duffy, attend-ing 100% or her meetings.Councillors Graham Partner and IanMeller on North West Leicestershire

council have only missed one meet-ing giving the BNP an average atten-dance on NW Leicestershire Districtcouncil at 97.6% compared withLabour 93.6%, Conservatives 86.8%and Lib Dems 73.5%.When looking at the amount ofmoney each councillor has been paid

per meeting they have attended, ourcouncillors make the BNP the mostvalue for money Party on the coun-cil with Graham Partner attending40 meetings this year for his basicallowance - not a penny more, unlikethe old gang councillors - while Ian

Meller is the 4th best out of the 38councillors.Again the BNP is the only party whosecouncillors are taking just the basicallowance. Even the Lib-Dems whoclaim to be so community-friendlyhave two of their three councillorstaking more than the basic and all the

locality and that those at the meetingwere racist to oppose the planning

permission. Not surprisingly she was supported

by the councillors on the top table particularly forcefully by the rudeand rather obnoxious councillor,Harry Tipton (Cons), demanding thatall British National Party membersleave the meeting. One BNP member was able to address

the meeting before the microphonewas snatched away. They asked:Is the scale and location of the pro-

posed development proportional tothe needs of the actual local commu-nity or just to the desires of anothercommunity? Our democratic right to free speechwas denied us and we were startled

by the ferocity of the elected rep-resentatives who shouted us downfrom the stage. They were guilty of

psychological bullying, expectingthe audience to cower behind a cur-tain of political correctness and tocite excuses such as parking prob-lems and noise instead of voicing thereal concern of those present. That we feel threatened by a reli-gion and a politically orientated

culture that is wholly incompatiblewith a Christian Britain and thatwe expect our elected representa-tives to do something about it.

    Allotment Wanted

    Who are these homes for?

    by Dr Donald Stevens

IN response to the letterfrom Glenn Richards in lastmonths issue of Freedom,he was quite justifed tobe surprised that SandwellCouncil were advertisingits famous St Georges Day

parade with a knight wearingan Islamic tunic. It is believed that St Georgelived in what is now Turkey andtherefore some have deducedthat he was Turkish. However, atthe time of St George, the Turkshad not yet settled there and the

inhabitants were mainly Greek.George is a common Greek namewith ge meaning earth and orgemeaning work, therefore Georgewas a man who worked theearth - a farmer. It is denitelynot a Turkish name. The error of those who dressed

St George in Islamic greenwith Turkish symbols at besttypies the lack of knowledge ofhistory and languages today, orat worse is yet another attemptby politicians to re-write historyand falsify the past for their ownpolitical ends.

    Re-writing history for political ends

    FALSE: Turkish St George

ONE of my earliest memories is of peering through railingsat an elderly neighbour tending his plot in the allotments atthe end of my road in South London.

I still think of that today when I ash passed in the train and spot

the same site. The allotments have long since disappeared only to bereplaced by an ugly block of ats with a garish mural which adorns

the entire ank wall. It seems like something from another country.Where I live now there was much consternation when the LiberalDemocrats, who ran the Council at that time and who are alwayskeen to proclaim their green credentials, decided to allow a HousingAssociation development on the nearby allotments. Since then manyof the council houses in our area have become occupied by Eastern

Europeans and others from overseas. When I recently tried to put myname down for an allotment on the sole remaining site I was toldthere was a waiting list of at least forty people before me and I could

be given no indication as to when I was likely to reach the top of thelist. Prepare to put your name down when young if you wish to getone in this lifetime! With the United States now converting a fth of its corn to ethanolto provide approximately 3-4% of the fuel needed to run its carsand trucks, the price of food worldwide has rocketed. Coupled withthat, the droughts in Australia and China have resulted in a shortage

of rice which has caused some countries to cease exporting ricecompletely for fear of food riots.Britain was last self sufcient in grain, meat and dairy in the1830s and today self-sufciency stands at only 60%, which makes

us particularly vulnerable to a decline in food imports. During the lastwar when this was of concern, ten percent of our food was producedfrom gardens and allotments. It is hard to imagine such a gure could

be reached today especially as many gardens in urban areas are nowhousing developments having been designated as browneld sites. As for that allotment . . . look around for one and you could well

look in vain, for where it used to be you may nd instead an ugly

block of ats housing people from other lands and giving us the

responsibility of all those additional mouths to feed.

ECO-TOWNS: whatan oxymoron is that! How can a new town beecologically friendly when

it is built on a green eld

    site which entails concret-

ing over large areas of the

    countryside and destroy-

    ing natural habitat?

You only have to think ofall the additional trafc andcongestion it will generate, free to spew pollutants intothe air.Take the small village of Micheldever in the North Hampshire Downs. Here in this delightful rural landscape of rolling hills and woodedcopse: home to owls, bats and a rare pair of stone curlews, Eagle StarInsurance have plans to concrete over it and construct one of thesenew eco-towns.Another eco-town is proposed near Couldwell and Roslington in

South Derbyshire. Bank Development are planning a 5,700 unitsettlement which will entail the felling of national forest treesand a new road to feed its new eco-town of Grovewood. Howeco-friendly is that!

It appears that 40% of these homes are to be affordable housing, butfor whom? The English are simply not replacing themselves, but they are noweeing our ever increasingly crime-ridden cities to be replaced there

by economic migrants. Surely if these economic migrants were toldto stay in their own countries their carbon footprint would be lower, and that has to be good for the planet. From every angle these eco-towns can only be an eco-disaster.

SO the Tinsley cooling towerswhich stand by the M1 nearShefeld are to be demolished.

They are an imposing indicator todrivers, letting them know that theyare entering the North of England. They stand moodily and artistically, dominating the steel city skyline. And they ARE art. A living art whichis a stepping stone into an industrialgolden age when Britain was a worldleader. A monument to the efforts andachievements of the British worker.

Unlike what passes as art today, thesetowers have a story to tell, a link to local

people and they were once useful. But to the powers that be, they arean awkward reminder of how Britishindustry has been devastated and theworking class sold out.Millions of drivers, and voters, seethem and it pricks peoples con-sciences about what Britain has lost. And that is one of the main reasonswhy the days of these monoliths ofSouth Yorkshire are numbered.

Real art witha story to tell

BRITAINS Merchant Navyhas a proud history from thedays of armed merchantmen to theinvaluable support they providedin the wars of the last century.Britain used to have one of the

greatest merchant eets in the world, with vessels plying their trade all overthe globe. Sadly this is no longer thecase because new international lawshave changed the Merchant Navy

beyond recognition.Successive British governments haveaccepted these laws with no regardfor the consequences to British

jobs in the industry and the reducedmerchant tonnage now operatingwith British crews. It is the International MaritimeOrganisation which is behind thechanges, introducing new legislationwhich favours Third World tonnageand seafarers.Initially, training and certicationwas governed by the Standards ofTraining and Certication of Watch

Keepers which came into force in1978. This laid down the minimumqualications required for thecertication of marine professionals. These rules served our eet well andallowed the certication of ofcersand men in accordance with our traderequirements. The British eet had three areasof operation, namely Home Trade(coastal areas including the Irish Sea,

North Sea and local trading areas),Middle Trade which covered to theMediterranean and Black Sea and

    Foreign Going.

Under the regulations it was possiblefor people to train and obtainqualications which would allowthem to sail in their relevant levelin whichever area of operation theychose. But then the International

Maritime Organisation decreed thatrevisions were needed to harmonisethe certicate structures worldwide. The tonnage limit of coastal vesselswas reduced from the original 5000and 1500 limits to a paltry 500,which has no practical use at all.The limited European Trading Areawas revised to Near Coastalwhichlimits people qualied in this areato 150 nautical miles off the UKcoast and 30 nautical miles off Eire, where previously it allowed peopleto navigate vessels across the whole

North Sea.The changes have led to a shortageof qualied personnel and this gapis now being lled by mariners fromThird World countries. They benetfrom lower costs, reduced college

fees and adaptations to the currentlegislation which favour their navalorganisations. These people oftenhave limited English which presentsa danger in itself. Our Merchant eet is coming tothe end of its days because theGovernment is not standing up anddefending the industry. In the not too distant future, allseafarer, shore-based ship pilot andassociated jobs will be lled byforeigners, and one of Britains greatinstitutions and the skills that go withit will have been lost forever.

OUR proud British heritageand culture have been underattack from New Labour since it

came to power in 1997. We haveseen our cultural and Christian fes-tivals banned, renamed or watereddown so as not to offend those ofother faiths. The traditional games and pastimesenjoyed by generations of Britishchildren are banned or deemed toodangerous by the Establishment inits appeasement of the compensationculture. In addition to these insidious inroadsand savage assaults on our traditions, the local pub is now fast becoming anendangered entity. Inns, hostelries or

pubs, however they are termed, areicons of our culture. For hundreds ofyears, such places have played hostto groups and individuals, whether toconduct business, for social purposes,

or most commonly for a reward aftera hard days work.In days gone by, inns would be identi-ed by signs showing pictures, as theability to read was not widespreadin the general population. This nolonger is the case, of course, although

pictorial signs still adorn most pubs, and many are very ornate.

Naturally some pubs did close, but mostvillages had one, where the locals couldgo and enjoy their pint. Then along came New Labour, armed with their sledgehammer, tointroduce draconian measures aimedat our British drinking places. The smoking ban has already had

a devastating effect on many pubs, both rural and urban. This, combinedwith the availability of cheap alco-

hol in supermarkets, has led to manyformer pub customers opting to buycheap booze and stay at home, wherethey can enjoy their drink with asmoke in their own living room.In addition, the recent increase induty on alcoholic drinks announcedin the Budget has further added to thewoes of publicans. At present, British pubs are clos-ing down at the alarming rate oftwenty-seven a week, and it is notonly the village pubs which are beingaffected, many town and city oneshave also gone. The British Beer & Pub Associationfears that at least 1000 pubs will be

lost this year. If this scenario contin-ues, we could be seeing the end ofour traditional British pub within the

next few years. There seems to be a hidden agenda

behind Labours attack on our pubs.Given that they seem to be quitehappy with what appears to be creep-ing Islamication of our country, happy with the prospect of a supermosque in our capital city, can weassume that this apparent clampdownon our pubs is yet another step on theslippery path to Britain becoming anIslamic republic? Our people need to wake up towhat is going on and elect a Partywhich will safeguard our institu-tions, culture and traditions - theBritish National Party.

LAST ORDERS: Britains pubs have been hit by the smoking ban and increasedduty on spirits, wine and beer.

New Labours attackon the British pub

LABOURS claim that morepeople than ever before areable to access our National HealthService for dental treatment hasbeen exposed as yet another lie.

New gures show that 3,500patients per day lost access to NHSdental treatment in the last threemonths of 2007. In Yorkshire alone, more than 40,000 fewer adults arein receipt of dental care on t he NHS

since the reforms which were sup- posed to improve treatment coverwere introduced.

Small wonder then, that it is becom-ing more common to read about des-

perate people who have to resort toDIY dentistry, such as extractions

with the help of a pair of pliers and agenerous helping of whisky. Our NHS was once the envy of theworld, but successive governments,

both Labour and Tory, have reducedit to the pathetic shambles that it nowis - something which would shameany developing Third World nation. This government, which is evereager and willing to throw ourmoney at dubious causes such asthe European Union and overseasaid, would do well to rememberthat charity begins at home.

Indian launch rubs homeBritains space sham e

LAST month India successfullylaunched another rocket intospace, this time carrying a clusterof ten satellites. The rocket lifted off from Sriharikotaisland in southern Andhra Pradeshstate, carrying two Indian and eightforeign satellites. They are expectedto provide data to enable India to plan

rural and urban development. The sat-ellites were deployed in orbit withinminutes of each other and the entireoperation lasted twenty minutes.Such Indian space shots are now aregular occurrence. India establishedits space programme in 1963, andnow regularly launches satellites intoorbit, not just for itself but for payingcustomers including Israel and Italy.Britain launched its space programmein the 1950s. We launched a satelliteinto space in 1971, long before the

Indians did.But then the Government pulled the

plug on our space programme so ourlaunchers dont earn us any money, they have been left to rust beside theruins of our shut-down launch centrein Woomera in Southern Australia.Back in 1971, the Minister in chargeof the space project had actually can-

celled it before the launch had taken place. However, there was enoughhardware for the attempt, so permis-sion was given to launch this ight.Britains Black Arrow rocket worked

perfectly, and on 28th October 1971,placedProspero, Britains rst satel-lite, into orbit. The decision by the project team toname the satellite after Shakespearesmagician who lays down his booksand gives up dominion over Earthand Sky, was quite deliberate.

LAUNCH: The plug had already been pulled on the Black Arrow project when therocket was launched from Woomera to take the Prospero satellite into space.

    A kick in the ballots!

IT IS time our MPs andcouncillors stopped acting as abreed of civil servants and let thepolitical parties they represent

    pay their wages.

To be able to do this political partiesshould receive state funding inaccordance with the level of supportthey receive at a General Election.I would suggest 1 for each vote upto 100,000, then 5 a vote thereafter.A party getting 10million voteswould be paid 50million a year upto the next General Election. Theycould pay their MPs and councillorswhat they wished by way of salariesand expenses, and the rules fortaxation and expenses should be thesame as for a private company. There would be great incentives andadvantages for people to vote. Evenif they voted for a losing candidate, they would in effect be making adonation to the party of their choice.

SINCE World War II, thedoctrine of socialism hasspread across the civilised world.

Its basic tenets are one world, a sharedeconomy, the free movement of peopleand an end to private property. But it has been rejected by many ofthose it was intended to help.Tibetans and other ethnic groups arewilling to die to achieve or regaintheir nationhood.Africans are prepared to kill immigrantsfrom other African countries to defendtheir culture and land.Muslim countries have turned their
