Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, and that He may send Jesus Christ, who was preached to you before, whom heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things, which God has spoken by the mouth of all His holy prophets since the world began.

Acts 3:19-21 (NKJV)

These passages speak of restoration of all things. The Amplified version says, “Complete restoration of all that God spoke.” In fact, this reveals to us that the only thing that’s holding the Father from sending Jesus is, there needs to be RESTORATION of ALL things. May it be concerning your family, relationships, finances, business deals and especially your health, all these will be restored.

2010 was the Year of God’s Rest but it didn’t end when 2010 ended. It’s just the start and God’s Rest will continue for all of us in the years to come. When we get rested the next thing that’s going to happen is we’re going to be restored. And so, 2011 is the Year of God’s Restoration. Times of refreshing and restoration is available for all of us.

“Repent therefore and be converted,” talks about a change of mind concerning what we believe so that the times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord. The refreshing of the Lord is permanent. How? Through the finished work of Jesus Christ! John 1:16 tells us that, “In His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace.” Through the grace of God we have the best refreshing times.

Jesus is the only one who can truly refresh us. Jesus is the living water and the bread from heaven. With Him, you’ll never get hungry and you’ll never get thirsty. The Times of Refreshing is found in His presence.

Restoration means to bring back to its original condition. But God’s definition of restoration is not only this but blesses you much more. When God restores, the minimum is twice as much than before. He never does less than twice fold. The Lord will restore you more than your previous state!

Even from the beginning it has been His plan that whatever has been stolen should be restored. Proverbs 11:31 says, “The righteous will be recompensed on the earth.” Recompense in Hebrew means restored, rewarded, compensate, repay, reimburse, make up for. It simply means it is payback time! It’s time for us to get offensive towards our adversary. Don’t let the devil go easily. Demand him for payback! Demand your rights! Make him pay! The devil is the thief and he must pay you back seven times more than before according to Proverbs 6:30-31.

You are too expensive for the devil to mess with. He should think twice before he steals from you! The Christian that Satan fears the most is the Christian who knows his rights. If you know your rights as a child of God, he will fear you. So let the devil know that you know who you are in Christ. Be on the offensive side.

As we also look in Isaiah 66:12-14, we can see that the hand of God brings blessings to us but judgment to our adversary. For example, in one instance the hand of God restored the 430 years worth of pay due to His people, the Israelites, when they went out of Egypt. They plundered, meaning they acquired something by superior strength, the Egyptians’ goods and they didn’t leave Egypt empty handed. Jesus Christ’s victory at the cross is expressed as the hand of God in judgment to the devil and blessing to us His people. We need to demand Satan to pay us back just like the Israelites demanded from the Egyptians.

The restoration available to us believers comes through the grace of God by the finished work of Jesus and our knowledge of the truth of who we are in Christ. This is our victory over the devil and now that we have it, we need to know our rights: what we have, who we are and what we can do through Him. As a child of God you are always positioned for victory!

2011 is the Year of God’s Restoration. Receive Restoration for your health, your family, your children, your relationships, your finances and everything that belongs to you in the Kingdom of God!

“When God restores, the minimum is twice as much than before. He never does less than twice fold. The Lord will restore you more than your previous state!”

4 MARCH 2011

“2011 The Year of God’s Restoration is the time that we will get back what is for us, what the devil has long

been stealing from us. This is the year that we need to realize what really belongs to us which God has

already provided. 2011 is the year we have to consume our God-given riches!” – Ira Valenzuela

“God is able to bring back everything which will continuously glorify His Name. By the grace of God, Jesus already ended all sacrifices through His finished work on the cross of Calvary. I have also learned how God restored mankind to Him. With an aggressive faith, we are overcomers, victorious and more than conquerors in Christ!” – Lileth Abang

“For me, restoration means payback time for everything. All things will be restored. When Pastor

Mike started the Year of God’s Restoration series, my F12 members experienced restoration in their families, relationship as husband and wife as well as father and

daughter and financial restoration. It’s so wonderful that as we hear the messages, everyone receives the manifestation of restoration.” – Mary Grace Libuan

“Everything that the devil has stolen from us will be restored by God and we can experience restoration through His grace. It’s payback time!” – PC Alejandro

When I was new in our church, the most common question that I encountered was: “Are you already a disciple?” Being a newbie, I didn’t quite get it but I realized as they asked for my contact details, someone will get in touch with me so I can be one. I waited excitedly...for months.

But I didn’t lose hope. I attended Singles Unlimited’s OktoberFaith event hoping to meet new friends. I was a little bit shy to approach any one and ask them to adopt me into their group. But I met a very friendly lady, Mary Grace Libuan who asked for my contact number. Of course I gave it! I was so glad she texted me the next day, asking me to be her disciple. I almost jumped for joy! At last somebody is willing to welcome me into their group.

She had no idea how badly I wanted to be discipled at that time. I really felt the need to be guided since I just got born-again and I wasn’t familiar on the many things that I wanted to know.

Because of that simple gesture that Grace did, I became more active in church, in our F12 meetings and I learned a lot! She has been and is still a great help to me. She served as my light when I stood in the dark, my map when I was lost. I owe her a lot!

This is how important discipleship is to me. If not for my F12 leader who disciples me, I never would have been this active. Discipleship changes lives. You might not be aware but having someone as a disciple is like giving them a stepping stone to be closer to God. Discipleship is leading others towards the Lord.

6 MARCH 2011

So if you are ready to have your own disciples, go on! Don’t hesitate! Hesitation has no room in faithful servants. I just can’t imagine what could have happened to me if my F12 leader didn’t contact me to be her disciple. Many of us are capable but are too shy to lead. I tell you, if you are led by God to lead, be equipped through our School of Leaders (SOL) and then go and make disciples!

Soon I would want to repay the kindness that my F12 leader showed me by doing the same for my future disciples. And I know to be a leader I have to be a faithful servant of God, teaching others what I have learned.

Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20

According to our beloved Pastora Me-Ann, “Discipleship is an ongoing process bacause we are to continue in Christ. It is an important process the Lord set into place for the believers to grow and reach his potential. You do this because God’s grace enables you. Also, discipleship is not mass produced. More time with less people equals more impact.” So don’t worry if only two or three of your disciples attend your meeting, it will surely still have great impact on them.

Most of the time, I’m the only one who’s able to attend our F12 meeting. So it typically becomes a one on one conversation but my F12 leader and I always end up full, happy and contented. Just remember, in making disciples do not assume people know what to do or how to do things. Always try to explain everything in a way that fits them. And whatever good you hear and receive from your mentor, do also unto others.

I know I still have so much to learn but soon I will also have my own disciples. Actually I have two unofficial disciples as of now which includes my mom.

Our beloved Pastors declared 2011 as The Year of God’s Restoration. And as it passes by, I have already heard so much restorations taking place in the lives of FCI members. As for me, I know and I believe that restoration is already taking place at this very moment. I have a lot to be restored in my life and on top of this list is my health. Sometimes people around me cannot understand why I have so much faith. I just let them know that it’s God’s gift. Due to my health condition, other parts of my body have become vulnerable too. I noticed sometime last November that my eyes were deteriorating. When I checked in the mirror, I clearly saw cataract developing on my right eye. But I did not fear, I just told my mom and my brother, “I don’t need additional medicines for this, I don’t even need to go to an ophthalmologist, I just need my God, He will never fail me.” I know deep in their hearts they didn’t quite agree but they respected my belief.

When I heard about the year of God’s restoration, it made me really smile. Saying to myself, “This is it, it is indeed payback time, God will restore my health and Satan will pay me back because he has stolen it from me and I know now my Christian rights!” My ever present confidence in Jesus was boosted even more. When I went home, I held my right eye and declared restoration in Jesus’ name and started thanking Him already. I never bothered checking my eyes again since then. I just held on to my faith. Just this February, when I looked in the mirror, I observed my eyes. I looked closely and I was amazed at how fast the Lord has answered me. The developing cataract that I saw was clearly gone! I was really in tears that time. I just kept thanking God for His greatness. I delivered the news to my mom and brother and they smiled happily for me as they also thanked God! To God be all the glory!

The reason why I love supporting the Youth Ministry and all its activities is because I have an admiration for their God-given potential . They are also close to my heart since I do feel like a mother to them. “Masaya sa Youth”, there is so much room for creativity and it is one of my earliest assignments from the Lord that I truly enjoyed. I want to see all the youths reach their full potential . When I see a shy one bloom, something in me rejoices. When I see a talented youth use his/her potential , I feel positively proud for them. Thanking God for His goodness in allowing me to be instrumental in helping to bring out the best in each youth .

The Gospel of Jesus Christ, the Gospel of Love

God’s love is so extravagant, so brilliant, so awesome that it surpasses every man’s understanding. The great love who wants to deliver, forgive, and guide. Which offers compassion for the lost, help for the needy, rest for the tired, joy of the weary, restoration for the broken, forgiveness to all men, peace to the troubled, acceptance to the rejected, salvation offered to all, all rooted from His perfect and unfailing Love.

I, before, may not be deserving of this kind of Love. But it doesn’t matter who I am, what I’ve become, what I’ve done and what I can do. The only reason who deserve His love, is simply because HE LOVES ME and YOU.

The perfect love that reconciles!

In our middle years, most of us stop performing some forms of exercise other than those that we enjoy doing. In other words, we find it easier to bend an elbow than lift weights. This is however not the ideal because as our age progresses, most of us need regular exercise to maintain both mental and physical fitness to increase endurance, strength and agility.

During this phase in our life, there are also some decrease in breathing capacity, cardiac output and metabolic rate. Exercise can increase these functions. The more often our heart and circulatory system are required to move blood to active regions of the body through exercise or movement, the more efficient they become. Prolonged exercise also improves the work of the lungs by increasing the ability to expand more fully, take in more air and utilize a greater proportion of oxygen from it.

by Jun Argana

While exercise alone cannot eliminate obesity, it can help prevent it by improving digestion, bowel movements and by burning up excess calories.

Despite claims about not having enough time, everyone can have time to exercise particularly if it is worked into the daily routine – for example, walking instead of riding the jeepney to the office. You might find that you’ll get there faster especially in the traffic, clogged metropolitan area and you’ll save money as well. More importantly, those minutes of “built-in” exercise accrue over the years in the form of improved health.

God created us with a body designed for active and physical work. One way of preserving its perfection is to refrain from a sedentary lifestyle. Develop a physical fitness and exercise program and MOVE NOW!
