The p r o p e r t y e x t e nde d from Ewar t S t r e e t t o t he banks of t he Cook' s Ri ve r . I t had p r e v i o u s l y be l onged t o Dr. War de l l and b e f o r e t h a t t o Thomas Moore . Ther e was a p i c n i c s i t e on t he bank of t he r i v e r nea r Gar ne t S t r e e t . I t was p u r c h a s e d by t he C i v i l i a n Maimed and Li mbl ess As s o c i a t i o n in 1 9 5 8 and is now a h o s t e l . I t has been r e c or de d by t he Na t i ona l T r u s t and i s kept as nea r as p o s s i b l e t o i t s o r i g i n a l s t a t e .
