The office in Bad Vilbel (northern Rhine-Main region) is the central location for thecompany management, the financialdepartment and the sales and marketingstructure for the entire EMEA region.

Chemical Laboratory Assistant

For an industrial company in the papersector, chemical lab assistants are essentialbecause they are active in many differentareas. They perform quality tests onincoming chemicals before they can beunloaded; they review the chemical andphysical properties of their own products;and they perform analyses andmeasurements on the materials used anddiscarded in the manufacturing process,which they then record and evaluate.

Electronics Technician for Industrial Engineering

Whether they are working with systems formanufacturing, communication, detection,drive engineering, lighting or energysupply, electronics technicians forindustrial engineering make sure thatelectrical wiring and connections areproperly installed and networked, and thatthey are appropriately maintained.

They prepare new systems and equipmentwith proposals, and support the assemblyprocess. In the event of disruptions, theyinitiate troubleshooting and fault analysisprocesses.

They organizeeveryday operations, buy materials underthe best conditions, make sure that all ofthe bills are paid and that the employees’salaries are transferred to their accountson time … and much more!

Industrial Mechanic

Turning, machining, milling. Repairs andmaintenance.: those are the main tasks ofindustrial mechanics, and metal is theirmain material. In some cases they use it toproduce components themselves, forinstallation and to optimize machines. Theyare familiar with the wide range ofmanufacturing systems and other technicaldevices, and with how they work.

IT Administrator

In addition to the information technologyaspect, the profession of IT administratoralso has a commercial background. Theirtask is to “supply” the many different “ITusers” with the correct IT materials. Theyfind out which system features are needed,and they look for appropriate IT solutions.

Acting as “agents” between the users – theplant employees – and the providers ofsoftware programs, they gatherinformation about system features,determine the need and execute thesupply process.

They help users resolve applicationquestions, and they provide advice andtraining. They also administer the softwareand handle program updates, etc.

IT administrators are familiar with theoperational conditions. Their training andtheir work in commercial departments (e.g.Purchasing) give them technical knowledgeabout commercial administration inaddition to their knowledge aboutinformation technology.

Paper Technology Expert

Paper technology is a complex trainingfield that spans mechanics, electronics,measurement and regulationtechnology as well as processtechnology. The work environment ofpaper technology experts is universal:paper technology experts support theproduction process – from providingraw materials, performing materialcontrols and the completemanufacturing process and refining toquality control of the finished product.

They do this with the help of the latesttechnology in our computer-controlledmanufacturing plants, by participatingin maintenance measures for the plantsthemselves and through material testswith lab devices. All-around experts areneeded here!

Study Opportunities at H&V

With growing numbers of participants, weregularly offer spots in a dual course ofstudy (full-time and part-time programs).These are given both to dedicated internalcompany employees as well as to externalapplicants. The collaboration takes placeboth with Papierzentrum Gernsbach aswell as with various schools anduniversities in the region and throughoutGermany.

Since the ability to offer these spotsdepends on the company’s own needs fortechnical personnel, it varies from year toyear. We are happy to accept unsolicitedapplications and will review whether wecan offer and support a correspondingspot.
