Lighthouse CD of The Week JESUS THE BRIDEGROOM: The Greatest Love Story Ever Told Dr. Brant Pitre is an enthusiastic and engaging speaker who regu-larly lectures throughout the coun-try. In this stunning talk, Dr. Pitre applies his knowledge of the Jewish roots of Christianity to the very heart of the Gospel: the love of Christ. You will learn what it really

means to have a “personal relationship” with Jesus Christ as Lord, Savior, and Bridegroom.

Foster Grandparent Program Foster Grandparents work with children in elementary schools to enhance reading, writing, science, and math skills and to encourage successful learning. Under the supervision of the classroom teacher, Foster Grandparents serve as role models and mentors to create a positive impression on a child’s life forever. Income– qualified Foster Grandparent volunteers receive a stipend for their time, including paid training, transportation reimbursement, leave time, and most important . Hugs from delightful children. The Foster Grandparent Program is a service opportunity to meet criti-cal community needs. It provides a high quality experience that will enrich the lives of grandparents and the young people they serve. Now is the time to begin the application process from the 2014-2015 school year. Be there and ready when the schools open their doors in September! For more information, contact Mary Siverson at [email protected] or call 701-258-5436.

Marriage Encounter Community Your Worldwide Marriage Encounter did not end on your Weekend! Join us for Marriage Encounter Community - a great time to connect with other encountered couples and give your marriage a little boost.

Sunday, July 13th at 6 pm at St. Mary’s Parish Bring your notebooks, the kids and an appetizer to share! Whether you dialogued yesterday or you dialogued a year ago, Community is an opportunity where your marriage can get the encouragement and inspiration it needs to keep growing. Marriage Encounter Community is open to all cou-ples who have attended a Marriage Encounter weekend. We open with a prayer, have a short presentation, dialogue, sharing and time to visit and have fun. The purpose of Com-munity is to continue the journey that we started on our Marriage Encounter weekend. By gathering with other cou-ples for dialogue, we are inspired to keep our marriages strong and alive. It also gives us the support we need to continue to dialogue and to work at keeping our marriage a priority. None of us are perfect... we all struggle from time to time in our relationships and have lapses in dialogue. We attend Community because it reminds us of what is impor-tant... keeping us focused on our relationship and God's plan in our lives. For more infor:, Kennen Huck 527-3269/Diane 527-3265

“ And When She Got There the Cupboard was Bare”… Over the summer months we have seen an increase in the number of homeless families and individuals and our food pantry is very low. Please think of those in need when you shop! Our “Solution to Hunger Corner” is always in need of more donations of toilet

paper, laundry soap, toiletries and non-perishable food items. Food suggestions we are very short on include soups, pasta/spaghetti sauces, peanut butter, jelly, tuna, canned meat/chicken, canned fruits, flour, sugar and cereal. All are encour-aged to take a bag, fill it and return it to the “Corner.” Thank you to all those who have been so generous!
