• Add when you’re going to do a certain activity in the blank.

• Aller can be followed by à + a place OR an infinitive:
• Je vais à la piscine.
• Je vais parler français tout le temps.

• Remember that une fête also means a party.
• The French also use une soirée to talk about an evening party.

• to go for a walk
• Faire une promenade en voiture means “to go for a (car) ride.”
• A synonym for faire une promenade is marcher (a regular –er verb).
manger quelque chose• to eat something• Manger is a regular –er verb except in
the nous form:• Nous mangeons un sandwich.• A g before an o is a hard sound [guh].
Insert the e to make it have a soft sound like [zh].
• Quelque chose is often abbreviated qqc.

• Faites attention! This is one of those irregular situations. You think this word is going to be feminine because of the extra e, but it isn’t!
