i n late February 2013, Juan Diaz de la Torre -originally from Jalisco- was elected as the leader of the National Union of Educa-tion Workers (SNTE), the most powerful Union in Latin America and certainly one of

the most important ones in Mexico because it is the teaching that builds one of the most tran-scendental social aspects in our country: The education.

Serving this sector for more than four de-cades, for Diaz de la Torre there is no more honorable title than representing his fellow teachers, so in an interview with journalist Ma-rio Alberto Mejia, he made his viewpoint very clear on public school critics that have brutally attacked SNTE which aims to:

Attract and retain the best teachers in order to offer a higher quality service that, in addi-tion to forging better citizens, will contribute to restore the credibility of teaching and praise the work of teachers through a changing Union that is aware of the needs as the country evolves.

So, as an attempt to discredit the School, cheapen and stigmatize its faculty, there were those who were dedicated to building an ag-gressive speech and wrong around the recent reform in this area to confront teachers with their union, making them believe that the teacher evaluation would be a ruthless tool for their dismissal.

Since then and because of a major loss of face, Juan Diaz has toured the country in a conciliatory approach that seeks greater unity between state commissions of the Union and governments in order to defend both the public school and the rights of workers and represen-tatives.

Likewise, he has made known the true scope and objectives of the Reform that aims to benefit the Union and its environment through tangible improvements in educational infra-structure, equipment and materials, connec-tivity and curriculum content. In addition to this, we will increase the participation of par-ents and government investment in education.

Although his task has not been easy, he is confident that the hard work he has done so far and will continue until the end of his term in 2018 will have satisfactory results. He is a Pro-fessor from Escuela Normal Superior de Jalisco and holds a Bachelors´ degree in Pedagogy from Escuela Normal Superior de Nayarit. Al servicio de este sector desde hace más de cuatro décadas, para Díaz de la Torre no existe un título más honorable que el representar a sus compañeros maestros, por lo que en entrevista con el periodista Mario Alberto Mejía, dejó muy clara su postura ante los detractores de la es-cuela pública quienes han embestido de forma brutal al SNTE, cuyo objetivo es:

Atraer y retener a los mejores maestros para ofrecer un servicio con cada vez más calidad, lo que además de forjar mejores ciudadanos, co-adyuvará a recuperar la credibilidad del mag-isterio y enaltecer la labor de los profesores, a través de un Sindicato en constante transfor-mación y que sabe leer las necesidades educa-tivas conforme evoluciona el país.

Así, en medio de un constante accionar para desprestigiar a la Escuela, abaratarla y estigma-tizar a su profesorado, hay quienes se dedicaron a construir un discurso agresivo y errado en torno a la reciente reforma en esta materia, en un intento por confrontar a los maestros con su sindicato haciéndoles creer que uno de sus ejes sustantivos: La evaluación docente, que sería una implacable herramienta para el despido de sus elementos.

Desde entonces y ante un panorama en que el desprestigio en contra de sus correligionari-os, Juan Díaz ha recorrido el país en un ejercicio conciliador que busca una mayor unidad en-tre las comisiones estatales del Sindicato y los gobiernos, con el objetivo de defender tanto la escuela pública como los derechos de sus tra-bajadores y representantes.

Igualmente, se ha encargado de dar a con-ocer los verdaderos alcances y objetivos de la Reforma, con la que se busca beneficiar a todo el gremio y su entorno, a través de mejoras tangibles en infraestructura educativa, equi-pamiento y materiales, conectividad y conteni-dos curriculares, además de acrecentar tanto la participación de los padres de familia como la inversión de los gobiernos en educación.

Aunque la labor del líder nacional del SNTE no ha sido sencilla, confía en que el arduo tra-bajo que ha hecho hasta ahora y con el que continuará hasta el final de su gestión en 2018, obtendrá resultados satisfactorios. económico y turismo de tlaquepaque.la importancia del lugar radica en ser el principal destino

turístico-artesanal del país, “caracterizado por crear objetos de hierro forjado, vidrio soplado, cerámica, piel, cantera, barro, latón, cobre, pewter, madera y textiles; son productos distintivos de tlaquepaque, con diseños que unen a la tradición con las nuevas tendencias”, destaca el funcionario.

Por supuesto, estos atractivos están integrados en una misma experiencia gracias a una estrategia precisa, de manera que durante la gestión de navarro Preciado ha sido construido un estacionamiento para 307 autos “que permitirá reactivar eventos en el refugio, así como congresos y convenciones; hacemos recorridos turísticos matutinos y vespertinos gratis, y es importante apreciar el tlaquepaque nocturno, con iluminación especial. iniciamos un recorrido para invidentes, quienes mediante el tacto conocen los materiales del lugar, degustan la nieve de garrafa, escuchan la música, huelen el barro... otro proyecto similar para silentes está en fase de desarrollo y, por iniciativa del alcalde, fue creado el consejo consultivo del centro histórico para mantener regulada dicha área. fue creada la Dirección de Área del centro histórico, que da atención a arquitectura y definió una paleta de color para pintar las fincas. tenemos apoyo estatal y federal para hacer algunas calles más arboladas, con banqueta ancha y tránsito lento y lograr desarrollo económico a mediano y largo plazo al detonar galerías de arte, restaurantes o cafés. Poseemos excelente material promocional y acudimos a eventos de alcance internacional, como el tianguis turístico y fita”, asevera Mauricio g. Preciado.

La idea es ofrecer la propuesta gourmet, pero en la calle y a un precio mucho más accesible”, relata Guillermo. Por su parte, José añade: “iniciamos desde noviembre de 2012 con la planeación y, el día de hoy la gente ha recibido muy calurosamente el concepto, les encanta venir porque no nos catalogamos como un puesto en la calle, sino como un restaurante móvil, y esto se aprecia en la calidad de los alimentos”.Bajo esta premisa, es lógico que el menú siempre sea variado y rico: va desde una ciabatta de queso Brie hasta uno de los platillos estrella de Brick Lane Truck: el Burrito de Chicha (chicharrón prensado, salsa de chile morita, cama de arroz, pico de gallo y chicharrón crocante sobre una tortilla de jalapeño… ahí nomás, para abrir boca), además que los productos son artesanales, como los panes, que son cocinados en horno de piedra.Así, la tentadora invitación queda abierta para el público, pues los jóvenes emprendedores desean que la gente “se dé la oportunidad de conocer y disfrutar una propuesta culinaria diferente, en la calle, con un producto de excelente calidad”.Y hay más: Guillermo y José sorprenderán a los amantes de la comida con la apertura de su siguiente proyecto: Rampante Food Truck, a finales de verano; serán bases de cocina italiana con un toque mexicano. Although we did not know where to orient that vocation at first, as “a business in this category requires a lot of capital investment, we focused on the Truck movement (which in Mexico is known as a “street stand”) which is growing throughout the world and decided to be pioneers in Mexico. The idea is to offer the gourmet proposal on the street and at a much lower price, “says Guillermo.For his part, Joseph adds, “we started the planning since November 2012 and today people have warmly received the concept, they love coming here because we are not classified as a street stand but as a mobile restaurant, and this is perceived by our customers in the quality of the food. Under this premise, the menu is always varied

and rich: it goes from ciabatta with Brie cheese to one of the star dishes of Brick Lane Truck which is the Burrito of Chicha (pressed pork, morita chile sauce, bed of rice, pico de gallo and crispy pork crackling on a jalapeño tortilla ... yummy!). our products like bread are handmade and cooked in a stone oven.Thus, the tempting invitation is open to the public, these young entrepreneurs want people to give themselves “the opportunity to meet and enjoy a different culinary proposal: a top-quality product on the street”.And there is more.
