• Beauty and Wellness is a key sector amongst the unorganized services industry in the Indian economy.

• Estimated to be valued at INR 41,224 crores in 2013. The sector is expected to grow at 18.6% in the next 5years to INR 80,370 crores in 2017 –18.

Students at VLCC Institutes comes from all categories of society. In Metro, they are from middle class also but at non-metros smaller cities, major part of students are from ‘below

poverty line’ category.

Language used is English, Hindi & local language so that all students can understand as most of them are not much literate

and wants to earn after few months of training.

Students are largely women but men has started joining for last two year

Some Suggestions:

• Govt. May consider charging some amount of Fee for trainings from Student to bring in more seriousness on account of students.

• May consider providing Health Insurance cover of Rs. 1 Lacs (Minimum) to each student taking trainings under residential model of trainings.

• May please help in transportation of candidates from State to Training Location in other State.
